It will not give a difference..... The only way it can give a difference is if an app requires 6 GB RAM or more, then the Zenfone will get lower frames per second. But there's no app that requires 6 GB RAM.

More ram doesn't mean faster when it's around 6 gigs, it means u can store more apps in background, actually 6 gigs is pretty slick. Even with 8 GB ram u can't play two big games back to back. And I'm in favor of ASUS if it doesn't include bugs as it did in previous generations. They ruin the user experience.

I think the better speed of the One Plus 6 comes from the type of internal memory it has which is UFS 3.0 (vs 2.1 for the Zenfone 6. It can read and wright data much faster. That's one of the small compromises necessary to get an almost flagship at "only" 500$.

Airports and other places with higher security will capture your prints and mugshot too. And the US government could spy on your phone activities too. So you are only forgoing the convenient security of protecting your phone against the intrusion of the common crook on the street. I feel that the only effective approach against a Big Brother state is to vote for people you believe respect that privacy. If they violate that trust, they have to be held accountable, not let it be brushed under the carpet like what is happening now with the US

Actually they both have the same type of ram LPDDR4x, so the ram has the same speed (reading and writing at the same speed) just not the same amount. So more apps can be opened at the same time with more ram. But they won't open faster. The difference is in the kind of storage memory (ROM). While the ZF6 has UFS 2.1 memory, the OP6 has UFS 3.0 memory which is able to read and write much faster than the previous version (2.1}. I guess that's what explains the difference in opening the games faster on OP6. Does it worth the extra 150$ asked by One Plus? Plus the lack of jack and sd?

I just ordered the Zenfone 6 because its price is incredible for what you get but overall if I could have gotten the oneplus 7 pro instead, the 90hrtz and USF 3.1 those features alone are by themselves are worth the small price difference. I've owned the oneplus 7 pro before and its weakness is that it's a little too large to use day in day out. I'm glad I did not have the opportunity to choose as I found a great deal on the Twilight color Zenfone 6 sealed 128g for a little under $499. I think I did pretty good. I'm excited to get mine friday

Excellent comparison - especially taking into account the OP 7 Pro had a larger RAM (8GB for the OP to the 6 GB for the Asus ZF6) and storage was doubled for the OP 7 Pro - not sure if that increases any of the speeds but have heard the increased size of the RAM might. I'm sorry to say but I find the tests are not impressive except for the sound tests. For most of the touch to activate apps test, your right hand is much faster response compared to your left suggesting u are a right handed user and a few times that favored Oneplus more. Switch around the phone and u will see a different results from what u presented here. Rather, u might wanna do a battery durability (both drain & charge) test for approx 1 day usage and see if each can outlast one another or against a few others like what Whosetheboss did. Main thing is this phone is said to sport a 112hr endurance battery test as per GSMareana claimed, to which I'm kinda skeptical if this phone can oust so many other flagship by so much.

Shocked at the difference between your review and the one by Nitpicker. He did say that the Asus was incredible but all of that was let down by the screen which slowed the phone down badly. Your tests didn't include normal use rather just app load times. I wonder if you would find the same as Nitpicker in general use. Otherwise I would agree with your conclusions.

I think the animation multitasking of the zenfone 6 has a slightly slower than the OP7 Pro, and the time touch responce too (60hz vs 90hz), but i'm quite supprised zen 6 slightly more speed in some apps than the OP7 Pro. But still Op7 pro is slightly better speed because the internal memory faster than the zenfone 6

The Zenfone seems to have a flat screen which I greatly prefer over a rounded side screen so it ticks that box for me but I want an amoled panel. Maybe next year. So many phones are being introduced this year a amazingly affordable price points and with surprising features. It feels like Christmas and the playing field will just keep getting better.

Given the OnePlus 7 has UFS 3.0, it's astonishing to see real life usage almost similar between both devices. Sure the OnePlus 7 loads games slightly faster but day to day usage probably yields no conceivable speed advantage that's noticeable to the average user. Masterpiece review Chigz! My Zenfone 6 is on order after seeing this review. I just hope Asus fixes the long HDR processing and the shitty quality on the slow-mo mode. Other than that, the Zenfone seems to be a great bang for buck.

I ordered the black ASUS Zenfone 6 8/256GB I also looked at OnePlus 7 Pro and Sony Xperia 1 but I like the snapdragon 855, no notch display, flip camera, headphone jack, big battery, SD card slot, and great price the ASUS Zenfone 6 offers. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S7, and before that had the S3. The S7 battery does not make it though a day of regular use and it feels slower since Android Oreo update. The S7 is not getting Pie officially from Samsung. The ASUS Zenfone 6 I ordered from Mobile Advance on Amazon.com in USA its being shipped via FedX. I will use AT&T prepaid for Talk, Text, Data networking.

Main problem of in display in one plus is to u have wakeup screen first then it will unlock not having always on display shows effect there

Both are same but one thing is that Zenfone 6 has 6GB RAM and OnePlus 7 has 8GB Ram....but Asus is Genuine winner as if ASUS has 6GB ram...

As far as the fingerprint sensor goes, although they may sense the fingerprint and unlock the phone at the same time, you still have to double tap to wake the screen first on the OnePlus in order to get to the fingerprint scanner. So, that right there, adds time and steps to unlock using the fingerprint scanner. Therefore, the Asus wins that one. I'd go for the Zenphone, too!

@@manjsher3094 All my phones have been Samsung Galaxy phones since the S2, with the exception of the 6P from Huawei. I do understand it will be a step down from flagship to midrange. I was just considering it for something different and a little break for my bank account ( not a $1,000 phone ). Can I ask you why I should not get an Asus zenphone next? They seem to have good specs for the price, am I missing something? I value your opinion, just want to make an informed decision.
