I’m so sorry if I missed the update but did you go with the medium or large woody tote? I’ve been debating forever on the sizes! 24S seem to price the larger one cheaper but I’m not sure if it’ll be too big for me at 5 ft 4 in.

Yes, I didn’t recognise some of them either and I never miss a video. A bag collection would be so helpful, even if you split it into several easier to handle videos rather than one really long one. I have seen KZbinrs with large collections split them up by brand, by size, by function, all sorts of ways to make it more manageable.

I have that YSL bag in a proper bag style, medium size, and I cannot speak highly enough of it. Impeccably made, absolutely no having to baby it, goes with anything in any season. My favorite bag of all time.

I think instead of the classic flap, a more fair comparison for the chain melody would be the Chanel 19. The chain melody is a single flap bag that is meant to be softer in structure, so it wouldn't be fair to compare it to the sturdier double flap.

Hiiiiii Amie, thanks for you honest insights on your two Chanel bags - I’ve been eyeing the Deauville for forever now but was initially put off by my dad calling it a “Rhodes beach shop” tote, which was just one of those things I couldn’t unhear lol 😂 And hearing your take on both the Deauville and Chloe Woody kind of convinced me that I should go for something like a Woody tote since it seems more carefree and hard wearing..! 😍🙏

I actually prefer the Chanel Deauville over my Woody tote, so everyone is different. While I like my Woody tote, the structure makes the corners more prone to wear. I have the exact same color as Amie and it gets dirty very easily especially the handles where you are holding it. I’ve tried to clean it as soon as I notice it but I’m definitely starting to see staining as it’s basically cream and your hands are touching it all the time. Even things like hand sanitizer and lotion will discolor it. I prefer Deauville. I’ve had mine since before it got crazy popular; I wanna say almost 7-8 years now. That thing has been through the ringer traveling all over the world, to the beach and for work. I have the light gray/black combo and it does not show any wear and tear. Corners still look perfect. Leather handles have softened but no cracking and still beautiful. Chains are super strong and can hold a lot -I’ve stuffed it and it’s ridden atop my luggage rolling thru airports and stuffed under airplane seats. You’d think the light gray fabric would get dirty but honestly, no. It doesn’t show anything. I love that bag!!

I love the Chloe Woody bag but I see so many counterfeit sites selling them and whilst on holiday in Mexico I saw a few and they were clearly fakes. So frustrating brands suffer this as for me, it has reduced the lure of it 😕

Ah I actually don't use an insert for my MJ tote - I tend to use it for more functional reasons, i.e. groceries, carrying heavier items about so I always thought that a liner would just annoy me!

This was really good. I like the way you included bags of all sizes. I am so over people who review mini bags only. It’s getting very old. I certainly understand your fear of getting bags like the Chanel Deauville and the Melody dirty or have colour transfer. It’s in these circumstances that I love having a contemporary brand bag. I love my light coloured luxury bags but they are going out bags and I treat them with kid gloves. If I want a more carefree everyday bag in a light colour I go for a contemporary brand. I would still be upset if anything happened to one of them but not as upset as they are much more easily replaceable.

I have the melody in white and comfortably wear it with blue or black jeans. I spray it with Collonil Carbon Pro and any dirt or color transfer wipes off with just water.
