I had passport cover before and like you said, found it’s useless because every time I had to remove the passport from the cover and it was actually a hassle. However, I recently repurchased another passport cover because I found I actually have use for it now during the pandemic travel. I travel overseas quite frequently and the passport cover can also accommodate the vaccination card and global entry card and whatever ID I need to enter my destination country. Having everything in one place is very convenient for me.

Yessss. Passport covers are useless - you cannot even use them with the ePasport gates. Next time you're in Portugal (or the Azores) you can buy Tret (called Ketrel) without a prescription for 5 EUR for 30g. I would like to enter

I agree w/you on the majority of your list, however, I WOULD consider a nicer passport cover (don’t have one yet though). Not for airport purposes b/c, of course (& as you said) you must remove it from from the case for officials to view. My reasoning is that I tend to take my organizational strategies to the next level!🤣 I really need a place to store my passport so it doesn’t get lost & having a case would help me w/that. Also, for purposes of storing additional receipts from international purchases that my wallet simply won’t hold. But again, much of this is rather individual, based upon how we live our lives & what works for us.

I would recommend buying jewellery from Goossens Paris. Goossens was one of Coco Chanel's jewellers and his trademark was semi-precious stones and pearls set in gold-plated bronze. His son carries on the business. They have some lovely pieces which are not cheap but they are excellent quality. (And no tacky logos!)
