I never knew about refinishing paint! I just ripped out my 1970's bathroom. 😕 You did a great job!!

Thank you! Ripping out the bathroom was definitely not an option. We ripped out a 50s bathroom before and never want to do that again!!!! I was really apprehensive about using this product, but I did a lot of research and really tried to follow the instructions word for word. I found that they are a bit vague though. For example, I wish they would recommend a specific product to clean the tile, and a specific one for making the repairs! Those recommendations would take the guess work out of it!

I also refinished my ceramic tile a few weeks ago in the bathroom 1940s tile with the same product! It looks so good now!

That is awesome! It was a lot of work, but much less than ripping out the old and replacing that tile! I'm really annoyed that I found pieces of fuzz on my walls later. All that prep of washing everything off and getting the lint off the roller just wasn't enough!

How did this hold up for you? I started prepping my 50's mint green tiles that look just like this for this same paint kit, and now I'm worried I did it all wrong. I used the comet and then I used lime-a-way, but I feel like i should probably go back through with the comet and the steel wool, like you did.

I am so glad you asked! I've had this project for about 10 months now and I'm very happy with it. The finish has held up nicely on the walls even with kids rubbing against them. Honestly though there hasn't been many showers taken in this tub, maybe 10 to 20 so far, this is not a highly used shower. But so far it has held up very well.
