I just got the MP2x for Christmas from my daughter! Based on your recommendations. Thank you.

Oh man, you gotta let me know what you think. Because it's crazy how it has a space for everything and everything's divided and not cramped

Happy New Year! Thank you for taking the time to make videos the way you do. These days there's so many people who make videos with no sound so I have to put my mind reader skill to use watching those. Or they make shorts and try to cram 10 minutes of information into 15 seconds because society as a whole has the attention span of a squirrel. For some, those styles are what they think they need, or want, but it's definitely not my preferred style. I always believe in knowing and teaching how to do something but more importantly, why to do it a specific way. Needless to say, your style embodies this approach which is why I subscribed and watch, and re-watch, your videos. I tried searching for the Klein 604-DD demo screwdriver but cannot find it so I'm hoping you can link it for me. Unless of course I already found it as part of a 2-piece set which can be purchased at Lowe's or from Amazon. Keep up the great work!

Great choices! Can't argue with any of your points, and certainly appreciate the real world take you give when reviewing tools. Thanks as always sir 👍

Great vid man. I mountain bike, and I will definitely tell you the hairspray trick works! Try it with one caution and make sure it dries out. I will say that it's mormaly rubber to metal, not plastic, but i will definitely tune in to see if it works! Good luck

Twin grips - can open any enclosure or cabinets. Including those requiring tamper proof bits. Or hex fasteners. -Grab anything better than whatever other tool you’re using. -you can remove those old gummed up slotted device screws 5 times faster than using a screwdriver -they are really light and utilize thin small pockets on your tool belt -absolutely work way better than linesmans, channel locks, dykes, whatever you’re using for ko’s -grab onto any bolt or nut with force and will remove it with a better “angle of attack” than using channel locks I think you all just haven’t used them or given them a chance at what they are capable of. I actually use them for even more than what I listed.

@@shadygunshow don't they tear stuff up. More than anything. I agree they work amazing

That set up would drive me nuts. I’m so used to my occidental full size electrician bag and being able to keep my eyes on the prize while reaching down and gliding my tools right out. I’ve never cared for retention, even when I’m climbing attics (hopefully I retire from that eventually) I don’t lose things. Do you’s like the retention so that you can just toss that whole get up into a work bag?

So every 2.5 years you get a new pair of lineman’s? 1 pair could last at least a decade

My boss kinked my Klein 25ft tape the day after I got it cramming it into a space. I was able to bend it back almost new but I still shudder when I use it and see the kink marks and wonder when it's going to start ripping lol

I thought the black and gray handle kleins were the best thing since sliced bread also.But like you they slowly got used less and less and would grab my linemans and my strippers instead of those.

I am confused how you have gone through 6 pairs of your linesman's pliers in less than 20 years, but 'they just last...' With all due respect, it does not sound like they are lasting all that long. Perhaps 4 years on average?
@toolsandtactics18 күн бұрын
Stolen blown up ect. Keep buying them. It's hard to not loose tools on a jobsite the size of hospitals. Or stadiums

@@toolsandtactics Fair enough. I get you, now. You showed the little brother my favourite stripping pliers of all time - the 7" Milwaukee forged. I like a wide nose because I carry them instead of linesman's pliers. I do industrial install and maintenance, so I don't have the need for them (linesman's pliers) so much. Once I realized that the only thing I was using them for was tapping plastic plugs into drilled holes in concrete blocks I took them out of the pouch.

@mikegraham7078 for twenty bucks, it's hard to beat those milwaukees They cut good and last long enough, not as long as the knipex. Also I wasn't gonna mention it, but I literally had to throw away all my tools and all my belongings and cars and clothes and toys and games and computers and t. V's and appliances and tools more tools sell my house and buy a new one because of mold.So I also had to throw away my kleins. Did I mention I had to throw away all my freaking tools? Lol
@mikegraham707817 күн бұрын
@@toolsandtactics I have the Knipex and they have been relegated to a loaner for the apprentice because a) I'm not a fan of the unthreaded screw shear. Easier, yes, but I don't think it's as reliable. b) They LIE. It says all over the advertising and even on the grips of the actual tool that they cover 10 gage to 20 gage. This is not really true. They cover 10 gage to 18 gage solid, or 12 gage to 20 gage stranded. I do industrial so it's all stranded all the time, and I can't strip 10 gage with these things. No good. Also, the shear on those is almost unusable. Does it work? Well, if you can get the wire into it then yes, it does, but you have be Wilt Chamberlain to get them wide enough to cut a piece of #14-4 SO cabtyre with one hand. 'At rest' with just the spring pushing them open you can't even fit a single 14 gage wire through the gap from the front. You have to actively spread them with your fingers. It's a two-hand-job to cut anything of any real size. The Milwaukees are a breeze by comparison. That really sucks about your tools, but was there no way to clean them? I mean, this must have been some pretty serious mold if it ate your side-cutters to the point where they couldn't be saved. I hope you had insurance... Anyway, I'm a new watcher. I hadn't seen your stuff before, and I like the realism of it. You seem like an intelligent guy with good reasons for his choices, and I haven't rolled my eyes yet... and that's saying something in this day and age. Keep up the good work!

I'm suprised after all the pouches you reviewed this year you went with the Veto pouch. So many times was "this pouch is X amount of the veto". Nice video nonetheless.

the klein screwdriver handles are absolute dog ass. this goes for ALL klein screw drivers, nut drivers, anything with the handles. i shouldn't have to modify or try to fix something that shouldn't be an issue to begin with. id rather have a milwaukee screwdriver that has the rubber imbedded so it won't slip. also, proprietary bits are bullshit.
