i used a purple from manic panic and it shouldve come out of my hair in 5 washes but it stayed for 6 weeks and would not budge at all. it depends on the person. when i went on vacation and swam in the sea iit did go very ugly pale purple after that tho.

I even mix some of the dye with my conditioner and leave it in for 30-40 minutes for a touch up and deep conditioning, but it does nothing. I've been wanting to try Arctic Fox.

+medo alo if you want color long term make sure your hair is pre lightened. Arctic fox is very good too. It just stains in the beginning. :)

Manic Panic never comes out of my hair easy. It always stains it. My hair has been red from manic panic which I used in January. It did not wash out at all. All it did was fade to a ugly dull color red. Bleached it three times. My hair is still red. Just a lighter red. I've used turquoise, purple, and blue manic panic and those did not wash out either. Only way to remove them was bleach and even that didn't get them out completely. Was hoping this video would help me choose a different brand which does not leave my hair stained. But I've watched six different videos on this subject and each KZbin states Manic Panic washes out easily. Which is false at least for me. I think people who watch these things need to understand these are just opinions of the personal KZbin saying these things. They are in no way factual information. Their experiences with things will not necessarily be yours.

I think it mostly depends particularly on the color. I used Rockabilly blue from Manic panic, legit bled so much, everytime I washed and not even that much vibrant, and yes, I bleached my hair before. But Fuchia shock, considerably stayed longer in comparison. But still faded into orangish red.

Well everyone's hair is different. I've used splat when I was younger because my dad was cheap but I never had a problem with fast fading like a lot of people say they do when using splat. Some hair just takes color better/stains easily.

When I used Arctic Fox Aquamarine for at least 2 weeks (but probably the whole first month) I woke up with turquoise on my neck. I hate Arctic Fox, I couldn’t wear my favorite clothes since it got on my clothes too :( Gonna be trying Lunar Tides soon. I haven’t dyed my hair much so I’ve got plenty of brands to try. I think Arctic Fox didn’t want to stick to my hair, it was bleached too...but the color did last a long time. Only in October (did it end of February) did I notice the green FINALLY fading into multiple yellow or yellow green colors. Like half of my hair is faded (but I cut off a bunch of the green recently too) I’ve also used Adore. I think it was Truly Red? The color bled onto my pillows but came out with no stains. I don’t remember seeing my neck being red, but my hair was shoulder length. I would use Adore again (luckily I can buy it locally) but I did hear that the dye isn’t good for your hair? So now I’m hesitant to buy it in the future.

I had the same.thing I think Artic Fox and Beyond the Zone or Ion stays on better. Privana and Manic Panic comes off on other things even dry.

I tried Directions in the color "violet" on not bleached dark dirty blonde hair. It did a nice lavender when I thought I could never have this color without bleaching.

A quick tip when using pravana to help seal the color after you've applied it. dry it into your hair with heat from a blow dryer. Don't put a cap over your hair when doing this literally dry it into the hair and leave it on for as long as you normally leave it on. And when rinsing it rinse it with cold water and that should help with color rubbing off.

You should try special effects, really like the iguana color and the purples, wildflower is so pretty but lasts 3 weeks, deep purple lasts months! Punky is also great, Violet and lagoon blue I go back to every few years. Pravana neon green is my current fav

I've been researching a lot about different hair brands. I want to do a navy blue and purple ombre type think but my main concern are the fading. Im scared it will fade to an awkward color. what has been your experience?

It depends on the brand of dye you use and what the undertone pigment of 1) the dye is and 2) what color hair you apply the dye on. I used Arctic Fox Purple Rain and it faded more into a fuschia, and the navy blue just went into more of a light blue green. And honestly if you dont want it to fade, or last longer, just mix the dye into your conditioner and leave it in like a treatment for 10-15 mins and it keeps the hair fresh. Except it would be more work with the ombres. :)

TheGoldenRose I haven’t tried Arctic Fox but I prefer Directions dye over Crazy Color. The colours are much more intense & I can dilute them with silicone free conditioner if I want. Crazy Color didn’t always show up or stick around as well for me. Been dyeing my hair bright colours for 7 years straight).

Glad you made this video! I have a Question on the staying power & how blonde your hair needed to be for Parvana Blue. I wanna dye my hair pure blue, I have naturally black hair & it'll be really, really hard to get to level 8-10 for me, given the unavailability of good bleach around where I live, sadly. And the dyes have to be brought for a higher rate from US, so I really want to buy something that'll work. And it's dead warm weather here. So, would Parvana show up if I don't have level 10, like I saw Manic Panic does in some videos? How was it for you? Also, which one stays in the longest time? And did you try Joico? Pleaaaassse let me know!

OK, so firstly, yes. I had to bleach my hair 2 times to be able to get the blue on my hair. I didn't like how inconvenient the whole process was. I didn't try joico though. I found the vegan dyes still had some colouring power over darker hair. but with vibrant dyes you do need to lighten your hair. And sometimes it can mix with the preceding colour and make something weird. lol.

Maliha Mahjabin i don't know about paravana blue. But when I used diluted pravana violet on my level 6-9 hair (it was an ombre), it still turned out so vibrant. Girl, I was shooketd. Also, it stayed on for so long and I didn't really see any bleeding on my towels or pillowcase. :) it smells good too.

I've used Manic Panic hot hot pink for years and NEVER had it wash out in the rain, or stained my pillows, clothes, etc. I wash my hair once a week and it very slowly fades to a light baby pink and that took like 6 months. I'm trying Arctic Fox right now, literally sitting here with purple in my hair wrapped in a Walmart bag. Lol We will see. PS : Hot Topic damn near doubles the price on Arctic Fox.

Warning note: be careful when you use any bags with print on them. The ink from the bag can bleed into your hair and then you have a Walmart logo on your head.

I don’t have a hot topic near me so I had to wait until Sally’s here in Canada sold arctic fox. I just tried it, I’ve noticed already it doesn’t bleed at much in my clothes and pillow as manic panic does. I’m hoping that in the winter, my red doesn’t get all over my toque :o but so far so good. I find manic panic is a pain in the ass to remove out of my hair. It’s stains the hell out of it

You might be able to pull off a darker blue actually. You wont be able to have it super "vibrant". I had to bleach my hair quite a bit lighter. But Arctic fox has podeidon which might be nice. If you want it a bit lighter, dilute it with conditioner. And then also use that as an in-shower conditioner to maintain the color. Swatch the color on a tissue or paper towel to make sure you have the right color.

I too am in my 30s and have had my hair practically in every color imaginable except gray. For the last 3 years I've been purple and I love it. My problem is I live in southern NJ, in a shore town, practically by the beach. You can taste the lingering salt water in the shower. Salt kills the vibrancy and color in my hair. It's in the water, in the air, I can't escape it. I've used Manic Panic Purple Haze for awhile for touch ups and it bothers me that it never lasts longer than a few washes. I have fine hair, so I don't wash it everyday anyway. I know it's more expensive but I think I'm going to switch to Pravana. The few times I've had it in my hair, it's lasted much longer. I was considering trying Wella as well. Has anyone used the Wella Paints semi permanent? Let me know, thanks! :)

Heather Mooney the new shade is called Ritual, Ive seen a few promising videos about it but not bought it my self 😊 I’ve currently been using a mixture of arctic fox colours to get navy hair after having silver hair, so trying to stay away from red based shades (after trying to get rid of red for such a long time)! And usually blues fade very quickly I find but arctic fox seems to have nailed it as their colours last for such a long time. I have used their bright red (called Wrath) in the past and it does cover well even on unbleached areas if you have balayaged hair but ultimately was too bright for me! definitely a blood bath with those kind of colours!!
