REMINGTON 710 IN 270 cal. BOYDS AT-ONE THUMBHOLE. 710 AT-ONE SKY LAMINATE. ITS A PRETTY BLUE. I've had it for a year and a half maybe two and I absolutely love it, it went together rather easy I might add. I've been watching your tubes for a long time now. Probably since you started putting them out there, love watching your progress. And the progression of the fun tools and lathes you've been able to add to the shop. I enjoy all the tech talks as well. I've only been able to shoot it about 150 times, I do in fact love the less recoil it has. It lessened it by far from the plastic composite it came with 44 years ago, Lol. Keep having fun with the channel. Love the technical aspects and keep up with going after those sponsors I love hearing and watching for some of that new stuff that's out there. Some of it's not new to me but some of it is. Good job.

Those Boyd's are nice stocks, have a couple rifles set up with them. Was looking at one of the AT stocks. After researching the AT One stock a bit more, was ready to order until I inquired about the height of the cheek riser and found it was too low for me. Was a surprise that they didn't sell higher rise ones as an option.. maybe as a partner that's an idea you can pass along. As an alternate idea, Bergara has theirs threaded on the bottom so you can fabricate or possibly purchase an extension to extend those pillar's. This newer model seems to have a lot more of an angle on the cheek riser like they did on the evolution, would be interesting to see how that would work.

I live on the border of 2 rather large farms, and the owners are more than happy to let me take out foxes, crows, rabbits at will to help them out. I got an “At One” Boyd’s stock for my 17WSM. It is beautiful, and I’ve had Boyd’s stocks before, so I was aware of the possibility of “minor alterations may need to be done for proper fit”, as stated by Boyd’s. That said, the At One seemed to be rushed, no small amount of anything would allow the magazine to lock in, or even fit. The stock had two hairline cracks that I did not notice until it was too late (my fault for not inspecting more thoroughly) I would completely trust Boyd’s for such a common rifle as the REM 700, not so much for a B-mag stock. I have a beautiful doorstop and conversation piece though

I got a Boyd's stock for a large caliber rifle (.338 win Mag). Had it professionally bedded and installed paid extra for reinforce pins. It cracked down the middle. Boyd refused to honor the warranty, the gunsmith was a dealerl for Boyd's and they got my money back, But they did not feel a new stock would hold up. I would not trust it on any large caliber rifles. Works fine on my 243.

Hey Gavin, I've had great luck using carbide/HSS round nose router bits in my mill to make/widen barrel channels in stocks. One inch+ ball mills are expensive but the router bits are cheap and work just fine in even the hardest wood. They work well for starting the inlet for the action too!

Whoa! LOVE this video, Gavin! Very interesting intro and outtro! You made that gun look fantastic! I'm shooting a Browning BAR in .270 on a Boyds Field Design Buttstock and forend in Forest Camo, and I hunt whitetail deer with it. My father, brothers and I are meat hunters, and since there's 5 of us, we party hunt, so one year when I had a herd of 3 Does come to within 50 yards of my stand it sure was nice having that semi-auto because I fired off 3 quick shots and dropped all three deer. They didn't even have a chance to run. Love that gun! And love that Boyds stock! That Forest Camo Laminate is so much more beautiful than the boring brown of the OEM stock.
