Happy New Year everyone! 🎉 First video of 2022. What other gear would you like to see me review this year? Anything new I’ve missed? Lemme know 👇

Still learning about camera gear and rig setups. Is there a way to monitor a second camera at a live event from your first camera position? I want to be able to see, monitor what my second camera angle is viewing from my primary position live without having to move around or back and forth. Is there a way to monitor another camera, away from you, wirelessly? If I’m in the front during a wedding ceremony, i don’t have to get up to make sure my side angle camera is set well or adjusted for zoom correctly.

Yes absolutely! All you need is a wireless transmitter. You can output from the camera angle your aren’t manning and put the receiver and monitor next to you so you can keep an eye on it from your main cam. There are a TON of different options out there. Hollyland is some of the most affordable and gives you option to wirelessly monitor from a phone which is really nice option. I’ve reviewed many, but here’s one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonYfHSLebVjfbs

did you get the monitor?

At 9:03 you can see your camera settings on the monitor. Any idea how i can make them show up while using it with my Canon XA 11?
@bigbuckmalik2 жыл бұрын
Cancel that. I had to go into the camera and turn on one of the settings for it to show on the monitor
@chadwin2 жыл бұрын
@@bigbuckmalik glad you got it figured out! There’s a usually a setting on most cameras to have a clean HMDI feed out, or one with camera settings.

Are you sure you have speakers built into your lut5? Are you sure the volume function controls the audio volume coming out of the monitor and not the headphone jack only? Does yours show monitor battery life left? And it definitely has fan noise even at setting 1. No noise at 0 but your brightness can't go high else fan kicks in.
@diariodopapai70732 жыл бұрын
Hello friend, my LUT 5 is heating the screen to 45 degrees, do you believe it is normal?
@chadwin2 жыл бұрын
The monitor does get warm yes, even with the fans, especially when you’re running full brightness.

Is it possible, to unscrew the fpn mount (to rotate it 180°)?
@chadwin2 жыл бұрын
as far as i know you can't do that, it will end up hitting the other side.

feature question: i use the sony ZV-E10 to livestream, but because i’m coming out HDMI directly to broadcast, i’ve been using picture profiles which doesn’t allow me to record simultaneously in log (which i would prefer if possible for more grading options in editing). will either of these monitors (feelworld or atomos) let me output HDMI with a loaded LUT APPLIED, allowing me to simultaneously record S-LOG3 to the internal ZV-E10 memory card? thanks for your help!

Hi, you can use a cage for the monitor and add the upper mounting point :) Camvate have one
@chadwin2 жыл бұрын
Nice! Good to hear they have a cage for it. That was my thought, if you can find a cage you’d be good to go for mounting.

Chad… you’re the Fuji-rigs guy for many. Tell me if please if I need any rods for an XT4 with a Sigma 18-35 mounted cinema rig that I’m trying to build, as well as .. please let me know what do I need in order to mount the Anker 26800 PD power bank as a main source of power on this rig - running the smallrig xt4 camera cage with side and top handle. Thank you & cheers brother, God bless!
@chadwin2 жыл бұрын
hey thanks man, I really love the X-T4! You shouldn't need rods for the sigma 18-35 in order to support the lens no. But you may want the rods to add a follow focus or battery bank on the back. I'd use this battery bank mount geni.us/BankHolder for the anker powerbank geni.us/Power26800 Sounds like you're making a great rig man. Good luck!

Great review! It would be great if someone made a cage for this monitor, would help eliminate the flexing when adjusting it's position.
@chadwin2 жыл бұрын
yeah exactly! it really does need a cage to help reinforce the monitor body. thanks for watching.

can i run it on v mount plate?

You would need an NPF to V-Mount adapter, but I bet you could!

thanks! Yes, that's a great top handle. I love how small and compact it is, should work well with the M50 geni.us/MD2393
