I bought two of these for $164 each on Amazon with the coupon. So far they have been great. I do like the size. I haven’t tested the cold weather charge protection. That has been spotty on some of the tear downs. But my solar charge controller has it as well. So I took a chance on these. And haven’t regretted it yet.

Quite the battery for the money, I like seeing cells on the minis rather than pouches. My boat has a battery compartment that is just smaller than a group 31 will fit in, glad to see battery companies are getting rid of the dead air inside.

Same. Standard size is a bit silly. Perhaps they should fill it up with the exact cells needed to fill it than have empty space.

Good video. Have 2 for amateur radio set up. I am pretty pleased with them and thinking about getting a couple more (currently $135 amazon Lightning deal). I was just wondering, while you had this torn apart, if you scanned the qr code on the cells to see who the mfg was?

Usually the QR code doesn't lead to the mfg easily. I usually try to do some googling on those numbers.

You can usually run the same battery in up to 4 x 4. 4 in series and 4 of those in parallel. However, I recommend a battery balancer to keep them balanced even after 6 months.

This is the one I used: amzn.to/402nOZp But any LiFePO4 charger would work. You probably want one that is between 20-50A charging.

One failure doesn't really say much about the product. You might just have a lemon. I would get it replaced and try again. They may just not have a good burn in process to remove the early failure units from the bathtub curve.
