Yhink about this, ultra instinct gets less effective as you take damage, less accurate as you burn stamina, but if taking damage enhances ultra ego, then we have a situation where combining the 2 means every time you hit the user, the user gets harder to hit, and hits harder. He's almost untouchable, but every time you do manage to hit him, he only becomes even more powerful, even harder to touch. The 2 forms adjust for the weaknesses of each other. Ultra ego falls part if Vegeta takes too much damage, but the power increases incentivize taking damage. Instinct falls apart as damage causes it to lose accuracy. Here, the user doesn't lose efficiency by taking damage, but continues to automatically avoid damage. Meaning the user will only take as much damage as is needed in order to win. You'll only be taking damage until you become so powerful, and so fast, that your enemy can't hurt you anymore. Its perfect.

I think the most tangible way for an ultra fusion to work would be to apply both qualities together, so being able to fight in complete UI and not taking any damage but also getting stronger when he does get hit. Basically the most overpowered fusion imaginable lol.

i really loved the Ultra Ego transformation. Also Vegeta actually growing stronger mid fight was quite visible. As he went from bullying Granolah and then gets beat when he unlocks his 2nd eye. Then Gas comes who pummels that stronger Granolah and Vegeta who is weaker than Gas was able to get some significant hits on Gas to the point for scaring the fuck outta Gas. On the other hand, whatever the reason may be it emotions or anything MUI Goku was the same as he was at the starting of their battle with Granolah.

Correct me if im wrong, but true ultra instinct was never actually a thing. From what i remember last time i read it, Goku powers down to his Omen form as he himself says its easier to use his emotions like this (in his omen form) when MUI requires perfect calmness instead. So he is using the Omen form, not some "True ultra instinct"

That whole “True Ultra Instinct” thing was ridiculous because during that fight Goku was overpowering Gas in Omen, something he couldn’t do in Silver hair UI yet in the Super Hero Epilogue, Beerus said the silver hair was still his strongest form, and going back a bit further, Goku in Omen was struggling against Moro even before he merged with 73, I think Toyotaro was just throwing out random shit during the fight with Gas just to stall to come up with a proper way to end the arc because even when silver hair UI was introduced in the ToP, Whis called it “True Ultra Instinct” 😂

​@lucidmind9676 due to the events taking place in the granola arc goku was struggling to actually calm himself and clear his mind so his Mui form was not working as intended and was not functioning at full power. So, since he could not suppress his emotions during the battle he decided to use ultra instinct omen instead which does not require the same amount of calmness and clarity to function at full power. By dropping Mui for omen he could let his emotions benefit him which he can't do in mui. So, during that particular circumstance omen proved more effective but is still weaker than mui when he is able to utilize it at full capacity.

I think Goku switched back to using Omen because it doesn’t require complete tranquility. So he can still essentially get the rage boosts. I think similar to how Vegeta is adapting GoD energy into his own fighting style utilizing his traits as a Saiyan, Goku will attempt to do the same with UI.

UI + UE = Basically one feeding up the other, it's perhaps one of the most broken concepts ever to be theorized in dragonball besides DBZ Broly's power level having no hard cap and growing steadily in the moment (in lore). Gogeta/Vegito with both forms would become a thing of NIGHTMARES. And I am ALL for it.

The way for UI and UE to work together seems rather obvious. UI as the main for of attack and defense and in the rare case you get speeblitzzed and and your body can't phisically move fast enough to dodge you get damaged and due to UE now have more speed and power. Basically if an attack isn't fast and powerfull enough to oneshot the new form it'll just create a new UI with much higher base stats.

It's wild to me how people gas UE up so much when Vegeta couldn't even soundly beat Granolah with it. Struggled immensely to Gas. And got one shot in it by Black Ice Frieza. It's an underwhelming form that basically makes Vegeta a bigger Yamcha than Yamcha himself. And yet SS4 was able to win the majority of its fight and this fandom still sees SS4 as insignificant and useless. It's crazy.

Then during the granola arc he’s just like “forget what i said and be you”. What?! How can he truly respond reflexively, without thinking, if he is always suppressing his extincts?
