I think this fusion can work, and work quite well BECAUSE it's so contradictory. Think about it...Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegito via Potara, and when he is on the offensive, he's using the Ultra Ego aspect of the form. On the defensive, he's using the ultra instinct part. Yes, it's like a huge cheat code, but fusion in itself is like a big cheat code as well, so it doesn't really matter. You could also have a situation where they're up against a new opponent and god ki simply doesn't work on them at all and they have to go back to what they used to do. I think this is a fantastic idea because it furthers the plot, makes the characters THINK instead of overpowering the other guy, and it makes it so the fusion loses because as we all know, fusion isn't allowed to get the kill.

i believe if fused, they could use ultra instinct and ultra ego, but not simultaneously. to access one form you need to think differently. you cannot be tranquil and destructive; they contradict each other and/or are opposites in nature. for example you can't be a narcissist and be humble, two different natures. Thats why an "ultra gogeta or vegito" is not realistic; debatably cool/interesting but not realistic. similar to yin and yang.

It lets them maintain a tier of power that is unique to Goku and Vegeta entirely allowing them to theoretically supersede the need to fuse if their peak potential in their forms is stronger than the likes of Blue Vegito or Gogeta. I think it would be a mix between effortless instinctual movement and raw limitless power. Same personality as Gogeta usually, except he can effortlessly switch between complete calm and total destruction in the blink of an eye. Maybe sudden aura changes, or whichever way he's feeling currently, that aura is layered on top of the other (purple on top of silver, or vice versa). I imagine it being a mix between a God of Destruction and an Angel.

Basically take ultra instinct but it has an extremely destructive offensive and on the off chance the user got hit they would get a power boost and be able to dodge and attack even more effectively. It would be awesome to fight some angle level threat at the end of the story

And second the boosts they give contradict each other, UI is about evasion UE is about powering through. The boost from UE would be extremely minimal because UI would make sure you don't get hit in the first place it just doesnt make sense.

It could be possible we get a new form from it instead of them flat out combining, which takes properties of both ui and ue, and in some cases creates a drawback from it due to the dual natures of said forms. But this new form wud be what people said ui was originally supposed to be, offensively attacking, defensively fast reaction speed. So a form where the user has fast attacks and fast avoidance, but when hit, it makes the user stronger and thus increases pure improvement sort of like hit.

I have a personal belief that the fusion dance isn’t dictated by who’s stronger and weaker, yes you have to have equal power levels to PERFORM the fusion but it still fuses both people in their entirety. I personally believe the fusion uses all the power.

I think a merged ultra form wouldn't be possible - precisely because they're polar opposites and the mindset required to enter one completely precludes the other. Vegeta is predisposed to Ultra Ego while Goku is predisposed to Ultra Instinct (although he still prefers using a form that lets him use emotions to his benefit, making his UI imperfect by design, but never mind that). The thing is, Vegito is an amalgamation of Goku and Vegeta's traits, and in cases where these traits are opposite of each other, they offset and cancel each other out. He can't be both as self-indulgent as Vegeta and as collected as Goku, because these traits necessarily cancel each other out. For that reason Vegito could probably enter neither form. It's conceivable that, if he stayed fused for years, he could conceivably maybe work his way towards learning one of these forms, but it would come with great difficulty and is not a realistic scenario due to the brevity of the fusion anyway

I think the only way I would work is by using Ultra Ego’s destructive energy as a shield, or MUI allows for attacks to land in order to strengthen its counter strike. Plus, we do know that Goku is training to have MUI akin to his True UI, as in he doesn’t have to be emotionless like he currently is with his MUI. On top of that, Vegeta himself states that the Ultra Ego that he’s shown, still isn’t the final state, which leaves room for the potential of a fusion of said forms in the future after mastery. Buuut, knowing these two Saiyans, they most likely wouldn’t fuse at all after mastery of their respective forms, unless they went against someone on the same level as like the Grand Priest or something.

I don't think the opposing mindsets would allow for the fusion dance, the potara maybe, but that is still questionable. Eitger way the fusion would last, what, 1 minute tops? If somehow it were successful, and they could sustain it, it would be seriously OP. Especially considerinfg all the skills and techniques the two fighters recently aquired. Possibility Whis level or higher. (likely not Zeno though)

I know this isn't canon but I really want to put it out there anyway. Whis is always in UI state and Beerus is a destroyer god and yet in dragonball fusions, (the DS game) there was an official design of both beings combined though the metamoran fusion. It's a shot in the dark but who's to say if both Whis and beerus somehow know a way to synchronize both states of being. Either way I can definitely see them pulling this off in heroes no doubt.

If you really want to see a good interpretation of an ultra fusion, the idea was done pretty well in the Ultra Vegito Godkiller fan manga. But beyond that, I do kind of agree that they would probably have a lot of trouble trying to use both forms together if they did manage it somehow. Also, the problems with those fusions isn't the mental states. It's how much power they use. We saw SSBlue Vegito defuse after five minutes. We saw SS4 Gogeta in DBGT defuse after 10 minutes (I know it's not canon, but it still worked similarly to how it works in canon). SSGotenks defuses early from SS3. So imagine how much power an Ego/Instinct fusion would use. They would probably defuse within two minutes.

Ideally, a fusion wouldn't combine the two, but would be able to switch between each form as easily as flicking a switch on and off. Beerus is stated to be able to use a very crude and basic form of UI, people with the "Destruction Mindset" are fully capable of UI's calm and reflex-based mindset. So Vegito/Gogeta uses UI to dodge incoming attacks, then switches to UE to deal more powerful attacks. Like in the Goku Black arc in the manga, where they used God, then transformed into blue for short periods. An alternate route for the "Ultra Fusion" could be a UI's evasiveness and defenses, and having access to the raw destructive power rather than switching constantly between forms. Or the opposite, Having UI's reflexes being built into UE passively, eliminating the need to switch between the two. I don't think this would be necessary, as a UI Vegito/UE Gogeta or vice versa would be more than enough to demolish an opponent. But if the need to alternate between form arose thats probably how it'd happen. If a fusion is to fight Frieza, I feel like the fusion should do the majority of the damage, then be defused, as Frieza is weakened, Vegeta should be the one to have a 1 on 1 and finish him off, finally getting the kill. Goku should ideally be knocked out by Frieza. With this scenario 1) Frieza gets a satisfactory decisive blow on Goku, something he hasn't done as he's never defeated Goku, and 2) Vegeta gets the killing blow, like he has deserved for ages.

Theoretically, their fused form should revert back to its base form, with the different mindsets being incompatible. Or they'd defuse rather quickly, because the power is too much. Blue Vegito didn't last long, either.

nah, if current goku and vegeta fused it wouldnt work, both potara and fusion dance fusion can only hold a limited amount of power, vegito defused against his will in the zamasu arc cuz he used too much power, if any potara fusion were to use an amount of power equal to or greater then vegitos final kamehameha in the zamasu arc the fusion would instantly defuse. if they did fusion dance its likely that the same limit would activate and defuse them, we know for a fact that fusion dances time can be shortended by using too much power, and while we havent seen a metamorainian fusion defuse from too much power outside of gt its likely that it would happen.

I hope this happens next arc. I hope Ultra fusion beats Frieza down profusely, and Vegeta will take over in a way, the fusion is half of Vegeta’s thoughts and his thoughts are more overpowering and important than the Goku side of it. So he will scold Frieza and taunt him, getting his revenge after all this time. And the fusion will use a Hakai Final Flash or something to erase Frieza. The Vegeta part 75% of fusion beats Frieza.

I've seen the Ultra fusion concept many times before. Even being used in fan mangas. It's a sick looking fusion of two transformations. I even think it looks awesome how Gogeta could have mostly white hair with purple sides and/or Vegito could have mostly purple hair with white on the sides. But I feel like it won't work because the users are using 2 completely different mindsets of their transformation/techniques. Like, Goku has to have a similar mindset to an angel, keeping his mind and heart calm on the fight (to a degree) and let his bod do the fight. While Vegeta keeps his mind focused on destruction, destroying/beating the opponent he's facing, while taking whatever attack the lands on him and then growing stronger from it. I know in DBS Heroes, Gogeta used ssb Evolution and MUI at the same time but that's because that's the point of Heroes 😅. They're gonna making forms like that to sell toys. Canonically, I feel like Gogeta and/or Vegito would only focus on one Ultra form alone

Gogeta never used UI in SDBH he only used ssbe. the reason why his ssbe looks different is just a visual choice and to make money nothing more

@@VegitoBetter you know what's weird about the fusion time limit? It's sooooooo inconsistent. Ssj3 Gotenks run outta time against buu. Vegito Blue did against Zamasu, Ssj4 Gogeto against Omega Shenron, etc. I wanna say, besides the time limit, it's gonna be a power drainer especially when you go all out. But then you have cases Gogeta Blue against Broly, especially ssj2 Kefla against Goku and even back to ssj3 Gotenks vs Copy Vegeta. Disregarding Gogeta Blue, they were definitely going all out. I know it's probably just a plot related thing 😅 but I feel that both Gogeta Blue and Ssj4 Gogeta are clear examples of the fusion time limit being inconsistent

I paused for 30seconds to re explain it to myself TLDW ultra instinct is the lack of emotions ultra ego is the zenith of emotions (my understanding) so they can’t fuse because you can’t have the lest and most emotions simultaneously

No.. ultra ego is a slightly scaled up version of Goku,s super Saiyan purple, Vegeta,s god ki isn't quite as high level Goku,s so the fusion whould be somewhat unbalanced.
