I don’t need a monster house, a beautiful home!!❤
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
I completely get that! You don’t need a giant house, just a beautiful one that fits your needs and lifestyle. Luckily, both Katy and Cypress have plenty of options for beautiful homes that are spacious yet not overwhelming. You can find homes that offer charm, style, and plenty of backyard space without being a “monster” house. There are many well-designed single-story homes and smaller two-story homes in these areas that offer the perfect balance of comfort and elegance. You’ll find homes with open layouts, beautiful finishes, and spacious yards-perfect for enjoying outdoor space without being buried in square footage. If you’re looking for something specific, like a certain number of bedrooms or a particular style, feel free to share! I’d love to help narrow down some options that would be a perfect fit for your family. 😊

First house the best by far cozy church house
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
It sounds like the first house really stood out to you! A "cozy church house" style can bring a unique charm, especially with high ceilings, open spaces, and traditional design elements that make it feel both grand and welcoming. If you're drawn to homes like that, you're likely looking for something with a classic, inviting vibe and plenty of character-perfect for a family to settle into. Is there a specific feature about the first house that you love most, like the layout, the style, or certain rooms? If you’re considering something like that in your search, I can help you explore similar homes in the Houston area that might match your preferences. 😊

Man, the first 2 homes are in our price range. Katy would be perfect location for our retirement but we’re about 10 years away. 😂(Yeah, I don’t know why I’m already looking around for retirement home)Hopefully there will be more developments in Katy in 10 years time.
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
That's awesome that you’re already looking ahead for your retirement home! Katy is a fantastic choice, especially with its growing communities, great amenities, and proximity to Houston. It's understandable to want to get a jump on the search-planning early gives you time to explore all the options, and you never know, you might find a gem sooner than you think! In the next 10 years, Katy will likely continue to develop, so there will definitely be more options as the area expands. Plus, you’ll have time to track the new communities, see how property values change, and figure out exactly what you want when you're ready to make that move. Are you leaning toward a specific style of home for retirement, or are you just enjoying the process of browsing? It’s never too early to dream! 😄

We are currently looking in Katy and Cypress to live next year. Coming from WA we need something more affordable and backyard space.
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
Katy and Cypress are fantastic areas to consider! Both offer great suburban living with more affordable options compared to other parts of Houston, and they’re known for having larger lot sizes, which would give you the backyard space you're looking for. Katy, in particular, has a lot of newer master-planned communities that feature spacious homes, family-friendly amenities, and access to highly rated schools. Cypress offers a mix of newer homes with larger yards and more mature communities, giving you a nice balance of affordability and space. If you're coming from Washington, you'll definitely notice the difference in pricing-homes in Katy and Cypress offer more square footage for your budget compared to some areas on the West Coast. Would you like more information on specific communities in Katy or Cypress? Or are you looking for a particular type of home (e.g., one-story, with a larger backyard, etc.)? Let me know, and I can help you narrow it down! 😊

I’m really interested to make the move south of the border im from Montreal Québec Canada I love your videos and hope that soon you’ll be able to help me settle in the area 👍
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
That's exciting to hear! Moving to Houston from Montreal is a big step, but it sounds like you're ready for a new adventure. Houston has so much to offer, from its diverse culture to fantastic food, thriving job market, and, of course, a wide variety of beautiful homes to choose from. I'd love to help you with the transition and finding a great place that suits your needs. If you're still in the planning stages, some things to consider when moving from Canada to Houston might include: - **Weather**: It can be quite a change with the hot summers and mild winters, so adjusting to the climate will be important. - **Tax system**: Texas has no state income tax, which can be a big benefit, but it’s good to be aware of property taxes, which are higher compared to some other places. - **Real estate**: Whether you’re looking for a home with a yard or something more low-maintenance, Houston offers a lot of options. Areas like Katy, Cypress, and Sugar Land are popular with people moving to the area for their family-friendly communities. - **Language**: While English is the primary language in Houston, you'll find a great mix of French speakers in the community, which might make the transition easier. If you’re ready to get started, feel free to reach out whenever you're ready to dive into the home-buying process. I’m here to help with finding a home, providing local advice, or anything else you might need for the move. 😊 Keep an eye on the videos, and I’m sure we can find the perfect place for you soon! 👍 Get in touch with us at Houston@realagentnow.com

I never heard you say if these homes are smart homes
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
That's a great question! Many new homes, especially in master-planned communities around Houston, are built with smart home features, but it can vary from builder to builder and model to model. Features like smart thermostats, smart lighting, video doorbells, and home security systems are becoming more common, but it's always good to check with the specific builder or model to see what tech options they include. If you're interested in homes with lots of smart features, I can help you look for communities or homes that focus on smart home integration! Would you like more info on homes with these features?

Flood zones?
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
Great question! Flood zones are an important consideration when moving to Houston or any area in Texas. Some neighborhoods, particularly those near bodies of water, can be in flood-prone areas. It's always good to check the specific flood zone of a home before making a decision. Here's how to find out: - **FEMA Flood Map**: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides flood zone maps that can help determine if a property is in a high-risk flood zone (Zone A or AE). - **Local Knowledge**: Some areas are more prone to flooding due to proximity to bayous or other waterways, even if they aren't in the highest-risk zones. - **Newer Homes**: Many newer homes in master-planned communities are built with flood control in mind, and they may be in lower-risk zones. If you need help checking flood zones for any particular property, I can guide you to resources that can give you a clearer picture. Would you like to know more about any specific area in Houston or Katy?

The first house needs decor that fits the style of the house. The decor is too eclectic and modern for a traditional family home.
@houstontexasliving3315 күн бұрын
That’s a great observation! The decor can definitely make or break how a house feels. When it comes to traditional family homes, it’s important to choose furniture and accessories that complement the home's classic features, like molding, wood accents, and more timeless architectural details. For a traditional family home, here are some tips for decor that might feel more cohesive: - **Warm, neutral tones**: Earthy colors like deep blues, grays, or muted greens can bring warmth to a traditional home without clashing with the architectural style. - **Classic furniture**: Opting for classic, well-made furniture-think wooden coffee tables, comfortable upholstered chairs, and antique-style accent pieces-can create a welcoming, traditional vibe. - **Textured fabrics**: Velvet, linen, and cotton in simple patterns can add texture without overwhelming the space. - **Layered lighting**: Warm lighting, such as table lamps or floor lamps, can add to the cozy, homey feel traditional homes often have. - **Framed artwork**: Framed paintings or vintage-style prints on the walls can enhance the traditional look without being too bold or modern. It’s all about finding the balance that aligns with the home's style while keeping it functional for a family. Would you like me to help you with specific design ideas or suggestions for the first house?
