Thanks for posting! I got the SLIK 633 and intend to use it with a Kowa 773 that I'm also looking to buy. Have you tried out the SLIK Sprint 150 before? It's an option with the Kowa I'm looking at, but I'm wondering if the 633 would be better overall, even though the 150 is quite a bit lighter. Thank you!

Hey there! I haven't used the Slik Sprint 150, but I'd be leery of a spotting scope the size of the Kowa 773 on top of a small, light one like that. The tube diameter looks a bit small for a big spotter like that Kowa 773. Thanks for watching!

So I want to buy only one and use it for shooting rifles and with a Kowa 88a, Which would you recommend from this list or even if it is not on this list, like the Fat Boy? Thanks for all you work in these testing and reviews.

Hey there and thank you! If you are wanting one that can do it all, I'd probably go with the Two Vets Ruck (although I think they discontinued it unfortunately). If budget allows, others we are currently testing that would also work very well for shooting and optics are the RRS Ascend, Spartan Precision Ascent, and the Outdoorsmans Carbon Innegra. Those are obviously in a much much higher price category though. If the Ruck isn't available (of the ones in this video), I'd probably to with the Slik 633 as it is still right around 2lbs, can handle the larger spotting scopes (as long as you don't over-extend the center column), and can be used to shoot off (although it's not quite as stable as the Ruck). I've shot off it with success several times. I hope that helps!

Not sure if I understood you properly?,you said you use a center column for shooting,I was always told not to if you can help it, because it adds another mechanical point to fail & movement you dont want when shooting. If you're glassing or taking pictures/videos it's not as crucial

Hey there! Yeah, it's always best not to use a ce ter column when shooting, but I've done it a lot since I don't like not having a center column given that the tripod get used more for glassing off of than shooting off during a hunting trip. A bowl top and no center column is more stable though. Thanks for watching!

Going to be picking up one of the new vortex viper 13-39-56 what tripod do you think would pair nice with that? Not trying to spend top dollar but I also want something to support my $1300 spotting scope.

Hey there! Really depends on what/you will be using it. Any of these will work just fine for that small spotter as far as support. If you want as light as possible, but still want to stand when glassing, the Slik 633 is tough to beat. If you don't need standing and was to go as light as possible, the Black Ovis tripods are super light. I I really like the Slik 624 as well...that's probably my favorite of those sitting tripods. The new Aziak ultralight looks awesome too, but I haven't had a chance to test that one yet. Thanks for watching!

Hey there! Yeah, if you are looking for one a bit heavier/ more stability, that opens a ton more options. We are currently testing the Slik 733 and 734...both would be great options. If you can go up to the premium models, the RRS Ascend is absolutely incredible. Thanks for watching!

Do you think the ruck would handle something like a Swaro ATX with a 95mm objective?

Hey there Colin! absolutely it will (with the right head). I've been using it with the Kowa TSN 99 and the Zeiss Harpia 95, and it does well. Of course you can get more stability with heavier tripods, but for its weight it handles those large optics very well. Thanks for watching!

Hey there! Yeah, that Leupold Alpine isn't going to have enough stability to handle a spotter that big. I'd probably recommend the Slik 633 or the Two Vets Ruck mentioned in this video. I've used a Kowa TSN 88mm and 99mm, a Tract Toric 80mm, and the new Athlon Cronus Gen 2 86mm spotters with those and had good success. Of course, there are more stable options out there if you want more stability, but you'll pay a weight penalty. Thanks for watching!

@@tracer353 hey there! We have actually been put testing the Tract Toric spotting scope for a while and have full reviews (video and written) coming up shortly. Stay tuned for those. But, it's a great spotting scope and a great value. The short answer is great clarity and lowlight performance, not great edge to edge clarity, and it's a bit on the heavy side. Overall very nice though!

Hey there Benjamin! Good eye there. Yeah, some of the "Arca" head didn't like the Arca base of that spotter so I just put a plate on there that didn't give me any issues going from one tripod to another. Thanks for watching!
