@@nazrulaqmar4891 True! Also is interesting and I liked some elements what was used in the series, but I guess that based on "classic 67s" may be fantastic reimagining like we see until now on Shin Ultraman teaser, a "classic Ultraseven 67s" in the nowdays. I know that Ultraseven X is alike Ultraseven 67s, second own video in "Ultraseven is Pretty Fantastic": "a series more mature than Ultraman a special effects fantasy series". But I'd like to feel nostalgic sensation and marvelous moments as "Déjà Vu" to our generation and also represent true Ultra series essence that was lost on the past.

Honestly, Ultraseven is when the Ultra Series BECAME the Ultra Series; for me, at least. Ultra Q and Ultraman both touched upon that sense of tone and the way it’s expressed through experimental filmmaking, but Seven made it its creative backbone. Over time, through gradual integration, it became (again, for me) the core ingredient behind what makes the best Ultraman shows just pop.
@yanchunchan93213 жыл бұрын
I personally consider Ultraseven to be the peak of Showa Ultra series, at least in terms of writing; the fact that the content is accessible to small children without losing its maturity is a testament to how good it is. It's not perfect (“The Terrifying Super-Simian” was honestly a weak episode) but it's still pretty consistent in quality. “The Superweapon R1” is definitely a very influential episode on later series, with its message repeated in Taro (Mururoa's episode), 80 (Gauss), Gaia (the whole deal with the underground missile and the warp bomb) and even Z's final arc. Goes to show that even if we've left the Cold War behind, we should never forget Dan's words about the endless marathon we run whilst coughing up blood. Side note: I wonder if you're going to review Heisei Ultraseven and Ultraseven X? The former follows up a bit on some plotlines left hanging in the original and the latter significantly dials up the grittiness, both of which might be interesting to talk about

Seven is an incredible show, especially with its sequel. Love how the themes and emotions are presented in its surrealism and cinematography. Thought it was cool as a kid, loved it even more as an adult. Thanks very much for this review!
Ultraseven is one of my favorite Ultras. He has been in a lot of other Ultra shows besides his own. Ultra Galaxy Fight, Leo, and was inspiration for Ultraman Seven in the Netflix Ultraman series. He is also the father of Ultraman Zero. Seven is equally as popular the original Ultraman.

@Labiche fun fact : if an ultra in human form (like Dan) has a baby with a human (be it a man or a woman), then the baby will 100% be an Ultra and not a weird hybrid. This is speculation, but since ultras are very advanced as a race their genetics must also be far superior than humans. So their ultra genes completely dominates what would otherwise be a dominant human gene and turns it into recessive.

THIS IS A MONUMENTAL ENDING! A masterpiece episode. a work of art. a work of a visualist ! An Ode to Perfection !! Tsuburaya outdid himself this time. the perfect sync between Piano Concerto in A Minor, 1st Movement: Allegro Affettuoso (Robert Schumann) and the battle between U7 and Pandon cant be recreated not even by Hollywood. What a masterpiece . I remember watching this episode almost 30 years ago and made me cry in a way i had never cried before. not because it is sad but because it is emotionally beautiful. You can feel it ! You can almost feel like you are part of the experience. The pain..the sacrifice..the struggle.....the idea that nomatter what you got to go till the end to save those you love....this is an universal theme. In Rolling Stones maganize I think from 1978m Steven Spielberg once said he was shocked after having watched some episodes of UltraSeven ..this one to be more specific. he also said that one of U7 episodes served him as an inspiration to visually create one of the scenes found in Close encouters of third kind. The scene where the boy opens de door and all that sparkling rainbow of colors shows up was taken from Perolinga episode. Thank you so much Tsuburaya for giving us this masterpiece !! You gave us a path to take in our lives!

Hey have you every considered talking about ultraman tiga? It was the first ultraman I have every seen, and I had fond memeories of it. The effects in it is incredible with hyper-detailed monster suits (some of them genuinely terrifying), a good blend between practical effects and cgi, and very convincing looking optical shots. Many of them still holds up, and even looks better than some of the later installments in the series. The choreograpy is also much better though I can't say much about it because I don't know much about stunt performances. Its production value was off the roof, and they also sometimes try out new ideas in both narrative and filming. Have you seen it before? If you have, what are your thoughts on it?

"This is a story of a far distant future. Why is that, you ask? Because humans don't trust each other enough for aliens to prey on them." When I heard that line, I felt that if aliens were to invade us, they wouldn't even have to use our trust against us. They will just wait for us to destroy ourselves.

6:25 Episode 8,: "The Marked Town". also know as "The Red Seeds"., is what partially inspired videogame director Swery65 to create the plot for his game Deadly Premonition for PS3/Xbox 360, along with being inspired by the TV series Twin Peaks, as the original name for the game was "Rainy Woods" but then that got changed to "Red Seeds Profile" for its Japanese release, while its localized title was "Deadly Premonition" as the plot for "Red Seeds Profile" was that the small town the protagonist visits as an FBI agent tring to solve a murder mystery, unfolds to said 'red seeds' that have infiltrated the townsfolk, causing them to act irradically much like ep 8 of Ultraseven.

Thank you for this video. I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the fight choreography of this and other Ultra series owes a lot to Hong Kong kung fu flicks of the same era., and vice versa (compare: Bruce Lee versus Chuck Norris in Way of The Dragon to Ultraman 1 vs Kiras ). Specifically, I refer to the transition from upper body to lower body shots. It's less effective when removed from the context of kung fu stances but still powerful as a storytelling tool in tokusatsu
