Thank you guys for always vlogging. I don't have CF, but I have other chronic illnesses in my 20s. I binge watch when I'm up doing treatments or unable to sleep. So appreciate all the tips and laughs along the way. As a fellow believer in Christ, it's refreshing to see your guys' prospective. Wishing all 3 of you the very best.

My brother used to get kidney stones ALL the time. Eventually, they found a cyst on one of his kidneys, removed it, and he now has no problems at all. But he got them ALL the time, and you don't. So they will most likely leave your kidneys alone. You are going through enough right now, Mary. It always makes me smile when I see you going up or down the stairs without coughing. How great is that?

I LOVE when y'all sing while driving & put so much emotion into the songs. Wish I was the same kind of patient you are Mary. I'm not! I am chronically ill, awaiting surgery in October to hopefully fix my health issues but it's really hard for me to wait day after day when you're just so sick & weak but I try to be inspired by Mary. I can say my husband is a Peter too, that makes dealing with so much all the time better when your spouse is always there for you. Happy moving south y'all. You'll love southern people. They wave at you when you're driving & you'll learn soon to just wave back, lol. My sister moved to Alabama to live with me & she was amazed when strangers waved at her while she was driving. She said they don't even know me & wave at me. I told her it's just a southern thing. She loved living in the south the last few years of her life. She also said random people would just strike up a conversation with her in stores. She loved it. She said she loved her adopted town so much.

Rebecca Brazil - it’s so weird.... I have had 8 kidney stones before and never felt any pain, except first thing In the morning if I had been asleep for a long time (like more than 7 hours) and had to pee real bad....but otherwise, nothing!! Apparently i have passed at least 7 of them as on my last ultrasound I only had 1 there (could be a new one, they said). But I never felt pain or anything passing them either!! Doctors were shocked I had no symptoms and they said that given the size of some of them, I would def start to feel bothered by them... but I never did! I feel so lucky!!!

It sounds very much like a UTI. I have these a lot, sometimes they are an infection, but more time than not, it’s just irritated. The sense of urgency in peeing and the pressure is common. I use a product call AZO, it’s over the counter and it really relieves the pain. Drink lots and lots of water!

I have several cyst on my kidneys, and I my left one has a suspicious one. It doesn't represent a simple cyst. I have it looked at now every year, at first it was checked every 6 months. That was for 4 years, it's been 6 more years and being checked every year. So for the total of 10 years it hasn't changed. BUT... the doctors said " IF it cancerous it could take years to grow" GOOD TO KNOW 😵 You look better, THANK GOD, your momma is coming to help!!! MOMMA to the rescue💞 Have a good nite 🍁

Yeah maybe if you got an epidural 😂 I’ve given natural birth 3 times (even in my generation- crazy and unheard of I know) and have passed both kidney stones and suffered gallstones.....is the pain bad? Terrible! Factually worse than labour? i think not. Everyone is different and kidney stones pass in allllll different sizes, some pass with little to no pain at all....therefore the pain is pretty dependent on many factors, to just say it’s flat out worse than labour is kind of silly- it’s completely depend on the case, the size of the stone that’s being passed and not to mention individual pain tolerance in general.

When I worked at a hospital we always had the patient pee in a hat then run it through a strainer. Question how about asking for bathroom urine hat and some strainer to check to see if you past a stone? Don’t know if you know what you are looking for but they look like flakes of pepper with spikes all over it. I once found fifteen in one urine sample. Hope you have a better day today than you had yesterday!

He was rushed up to the hospital where he had scans and an MRI done, the pain subsided and he came home. The Frey Life Thank You so much! I was in the hospital for 3 days but man thank god it’s all over and I’ve had no stomach issues since than but thank you so much. It was my first surgery EVER as well but at least my parents and god was by my side and I have smart parents who researched about my surgeon and she was so nice and everything went well just had to get me in the operation room quick because I was loosing blood but I’m better than ever and I’m awake, I’m alive as Mary always says that phrase and my stomach doesn’t even HURT😮😊

I have a pretty nice cyst on one of my kidneys also. I don't know what it means either. I've had it for years. So glad your feeling better.

Wonder if the abdominal pain you experienced about 3 wks ago was a precursor to this?

Doesn't sound like a kidney stone. , , these buggers run in my family, and if it were a kidney stone you would be in a LOT more pain. Sounds like a bladder infection...usually stones don't make you have to pee every two minutes,..that's an infection. Hope you feel better soon.

Robin Schaefer - I never had any pain with any my stones- neither while I had them all or when I passed them all! We only know I passed them from ultrasound.... but they can often make us have to pee a lot too- they irritate the kidney which then can cause some reactions of irritation of the bladder too which makes us have to pee a ton!

The liver ultrasound story is hilarious! Only things I've had looked at via ultrasound is my ovaries and breast tissue... Maybe I should have asked for pictures of those? 😂

Stones aren't really seen on ultrasound. They always xray or CT me. That said, being able to pee means it's not obstructing if you do have a stone. If you have a cyst, it's also possible that you had 2 and one popped (I have PKD and it sounded like a cyst pop since it was visible blood). If you did pass a stone in one night, I'm jealous! I'm also jealous of your liver picture because Mass General wouldn't give me a picture of mine! Feel better quickly ♡

That doesn't make sense to me. Why use radiation when you don't have to? I have stone disease and they've never checked w/ ultrasound. Told me it wouldn't help

If your lungs are improving with Vertex, do you get rated down on the transplant list or is it overall still an option you might consider?

I thought you're put on the waiting list when you go for transplant evaluation.

Megan is a gamer Yeah that's also what I thought but if you're doing way better than someone else because you're on Vertex it might be still justified to ask. And transplant definitely isn't an overall problem solver. It's just another step in the journey.

It could've been a UTI, but it hit and left so suddenly it was probably a stone. I bet you're super glad you could go to the bathroom without coughing every time!
