My brother used to get kidney stones ALL the time. Eventually, they found a cyst on one of his kidneys, removed it, and he now has no problems at all. But he got them ALL the time, and you don't. So they will most likely leave your kidneys alone. You are going through enough right now, Mary. It always makes me smile when I see you going up or down the stairs without coughing. How great is that?

I LOVE when y'all sing while driving & put so much emotion into the songs. Wish I was the same kind of patient you are Mary. I'm not! I am chronically ill, awaiting surgery in October to hopefully fix my health issues but it's really hard for me to wait day after day when you're just so sick & weak but I try to be inspired by Mary. I can say my husband is a Peter too, that makes dealing with so much all the time better when your spouse is always there for you. Happy moving south y'all. You'll love southern people. They wave at you when you're driving & you'll learn soon to just wave back, lol. My sister moved to Alabama to live with me & she was amazed when strangers waved at her while she was driving. She said they don't even know me & wave at me. I told her it's just a southern thing. She loved living in the south the last few years of her life. She also said random people would just strike up a conversation with her in stores. She loved it. She said she loved her adopted town so much.

Peter! There is actually a phenomenon where people pass kidney stones after riding roller coasters! So maybe the jogging did have something to do with it.
Rebecca Brazil - it’s so weird.... I have had 8 kidney stones before and never felt any pain, except first thing In the morning if I had been asleep for a long time (like more than 7 hours) and had to pee real bad....but otherwise, nothing!! Apparently i have passed at least 7 of them as on my last ultrasound I only had 1 there (could be a new one, they said). But I never felt pain or anything passing them either!! Doctors were shocked I had no symptoms and they said that given the size of some of them, I would def start to feel bothered by them... but I never did! I feel so lucky!!!

Yeah maybe if you got an epidural 😂 I’ve given natural birth 3 times (even in my generation- crazy and unheard of I know) and have passed both kidney stones and suffered gallstones.....is the pain bad? Terrible! Factually worse than labour? i think not. Everyone is different and kidney stones pass in allllll different sizes, some pass with little to no pain at all....therefore the pain is pretty dependent on many factors, to just say it’s flat out worse than labour is kind of silly- it’s completely depend on the case, the size of the stone that’s being passed and not to mention individual pain tolerance in general.

Stones aren't really seen on ultrasound. They always xray or CT me. That said, being able to pee means it's not obstructing if you do have a stone. If you have a cyst, it's also possible that you had 2 and one popped (I have PKD and it sounded like a cyst pop since it was visible blood). If you did pass a stone in one night, I'm jealous! I passed a tiny kidney stone at a party once major ows the only thing more painful in my experience was many years earlier when my appendix blew on July 4th after a party in my neighborhood.

It could've been a UTI, but it hit and left so suddenly it was probably a stone. I bet you're super glad you could go to the bathroom without coughing every time!
