Thank you. It was not clear from the site photos whether it uses screws or not, so I was not sure if I should buy it
@iTzBrillianTFX3 жыл бұрын
I'd mount them with the plastic plugs because of the Linnmon-Desk and its cavity. Your screws could just fall out someday or the Signum isnt solid at all after a couple of months. Some people using them for manage a huge bunch of cables (trible monitor setups for example) and they having a good weight. Maybe you dont but that doesnt matter in a tutorial. 😅 The plastic plugs are special made for cavity like the Linnmon-Desk is, so there is no reason to not use them. 😂
@oh97103 жыл бұрын
Maybe a really dumb question but how do I install the plastic plugs exactly? Just drill them in?
@arnvonsalzburg50333 жыл бұрын
@@oh9710 I guess you drill the holes, put in the plastic plugs and then screw the screws into them?

Are the feet small enough to install them on a 2x4?
@NickCarrollАй бұрын
The feet are a touch over 3" in length, so they'd work on the 4" part, or sidewise on a 2" beam since they're about 1cm wide.

Hey nick, is a drill necessary to create holes in the desk for the screws to enter?
@NickCarroll2 жыл бұрын
Once I marked where the holes would be, I used a wood screw and a screwdriver. I couldn't find the drill in my garage so I settled for doing this manually.
@yuhyuh56742 жыл бұрын
@@NickCarroll hey nick, thanks for the lightning fast response! Was it hard to screw the wood screws into the desk cavity manually?
@NickCarroll2 жыл бұрын
@@yuhyuh5674 No it was fairly easy. Basically I think I tapped in the wood screws a tiny bit with a smaller hammer to get a little impression going, and then started screwing them in after that. It's also possible I used a tiny nail to do the hammering with, just to get the holes started. Hard to recall from when I did the video. BTW the Signum and Linnmon desktop are holding up perfectly after all this time. I haven't had to make any adjustments and it's holding all the cables (and 2 surge protector strips) just fine. One of the best money and time investments I ever made.
