You nailed with "the movie doesn't allow proper time for backstory". They really should've given the movie about 8 more minutes devoted to fleshing out the backstory so the film would make a little more narrative sense

Because: 1. most of the world has been gaslit for 75 years, 2. it’s easier to dehumanize people seen as the lower class 3. governments don’t serve humanity, they serve greed But right now, people everywhere should feel like they are absolutely f**ked if we don’t have a huge paradigm change. I don’t know if it’s a « war criminal » but it definitely echoes when the West intervenes in the Middle East or Asia and kills a government (for noble reasons) and leave the place as is to fall apart. This is interesting to see in the MCU.

Not a war criminal but definitely borderline and a type of story line Marvel needs to explore more often. Need more controversial, violent, devastating insanity. The snap was so devastating we all loved it and there were many many stories they could’ve piggy backed afterwards. They’ve hardly covered any. More about what happened in Hala is what this movie should’ve been about.

Im not a Comics reader, but I used to play DC's injustice and LOBO was a space bounty hunter I think. Marvel needs someone like that going around planet to planet destroying cities, killing thousands, and having no remorse. Kind of a Ronan(hawkeye) of space. If CM fought them that would be cool.

I think the problem that Marvel Studios is facing is that moviegoers don't view each film as being critical to the greater narrative. Marvel Studios is taking too long to introduce a "big bad villain" that connects each film. Disney + subscribers may see a connection, but many moviegoers don't have Disney +, and therefore don't see the connection that each film has to the overarching multiverse saga. The great thing about the MCU is that all films were interconnected, but now that the story is split between Disney + and theatrical releases, some of that interconnectedness may be lost for many moviegoers.

The problem that they are having is they are using kang. And using him wrong. Loki should have Been the first project on phase 4 and then jhonathan majors needed to appear in every project in one way or the other, a present day threat, a present day background important figure in this area, a historical figure mentioned, a post credits scene, a Voice on the other end of a phone call with the powerbroker. Even just a background extra in and around something important. That is how you build up kang dynasty. Kang is coming and is everywhere. Branches or not.

Marvel shouldve stuck with the formula that worked. 3-4 movies with a milestone Avengers movie. Rinse and repeat. They ruined what they had by oversaturating their own market. I feel like a lot of the Kree/Skrull conflict feels like a massive MCU retcon if you think about it too much. It almost felt like there were two timelines in the MCU after watching THE MARVELS lol as Hala really must have gone downhill since Ronan kicked the bucket ten years ago. It's not like Ronan was all about this annihilator life or regretting the loss of the Supreme Intelligence back in GOTG 1. Heck in GOTG 1 Hala was rioting over the peace accords (and where was Carol here?). Also in GOTG 2, Ego was ready to assimilate Hala. No mention of the Supreme Intelligence or annihilator.

A crime is not a behavior, it is a category of behavior categorized based on a legal code. In order for something to be a crime the behavior must be illegal, meaning there must be a legal authority on which the illegality is based. The "crime" is therefore only a crime to the specific authority which issued the law. In this case, whether it is a crime or not depends on whose legal code won the war. The Kree lost so..... (If this was America, the Supreme Intelligence would be considered "command and control" and would the first thing we hit...so if that's a war crime, every Afghan war veteran is a war criminal)

Most of the Avengers and MCU "heroes" consistently committed war crimes on a regular basis. 😅 Thats part of what Civil War was all about.

This movie could have been pretty good but a few moments were so corny that it completely ruined it for me. The deal breaker was the planet where everything is a musical, might be the worst scene/idea I’ve ever seen in a marvel movie and that’s saying a lot as of recent.
