Talk to Me in Tagalog - salamat ma’am. Maybe I will need to listen to the entire set of videos, but after a quick look, I couldn’t find the command or imperative form. For example using the simple-UM verb kain, if one wants to command a child to tell him/her “eat your food”, what is the rule for such a command for the verb? Is it the same if the root verb begins with a consonant? Salamat po!

For imperative sentences, the rules for both vowel and consonant on Infinitive Form shall apply: 1) Kumain ka na. (Eat your food now.) 2) Uminom ka ng tubig. (Drink water.) 3) Pumunta ka sa tindahan. ( Go to the store.) 4) Gumamit ka ng sabon. (Use soap.) I'll post a comprehensive list of Um-Verbs soon. Salamat, Kweli Nzito for your interest in learning Tagalog. I really appreciate it. ❤️
