The syllables that have D as the consonant should be changed to R when it is placed after a vowel. For example: NagdaDasal should be NagdaRasal. magdADasal should be magdARasal. mADunong should be mARunong. siyA Daw should be siyA Raw siyA Din should be siyA Rin dIDibdibin should be dIRibdibin That's it.

@arxissky18194 жыл бұрын
@@1dharries232 There is a rule like that that stems from our ancient writing script which is Baybayin. There isn't a character for r in baybayin that's why the character for d is used to represent r. in Tagalog, if you use mag/nag/pag/tag and the root word or verb starts with a vowel, use dash so it should be mag-usap = to talk nag-uusap = talking nag-usap = talked mag-uusap = will talk this is important in written tagalog because for example, nag-ulat (reported) is different from nagulat (shocked)

Спасибо! Теперь я понимаю, как это работает 👍 Thank you very much 🙏 just one question. What does prefix PAG- mean? Pagsalita, paglaro, pagtrabaho etc.
@legendarymuramasa22474 жыл бұрын
Privet tovarichsch Im going to help you and it may be not accurate because it is hard to express it in English Examples like "pagsalita" It roughly expressed as "the act of speaking" Example Sentence: "Maayos ba yung pagsalita ko kahapon?" It translates as: "Did i speak well yesterday?" Some complex words such as "Pagkain" is both "Food" and "the act of eating" so you need to memorize some certain words "Pagsasalita" It roughly expressed as "the way of how you speak" Example Sentence: "Ayusin mo nga yang pagsasalita mo sa magulang mo, tanga" Translates as: "Fix how you speak to your parent, _debil_ " Again, there is no "pagkakakain", so you really have to be careful on some words Hope this helps

If you go to subtitles you can change the words so they match. For instance, you can change MUG to MAG and any other words that don't match. I always use the subtitles because I am rather deaf and find them a great help. What if maganda becomes muganda, not veery helpful for people that also try and write the language. Just thought it might help to make your videos more professional.

Mag is used as prefix of a word that starts with consonant. Example.. walk- "lakad" To walk- maglakad, I will walk- maglalakad ako. I am walking- naglalakad ako and so on.... Um is added in words that starts in vowel. Example.. akyat- climb, usually used present and past tense. Aakyat- i will climb, umakyat- i climbed, umaakyat- climbing I'm filipino.

In some of the listening practice vids, they say nakikipagusap. What are these prefixes? Can be confusing for non-Tagalog speakers.
@TalkToMeInTagalog5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Kweli Nzito! There are reciprocal social verbs derived from intransitive Mag-verbs where "mag" is replaced with "makipag". For instance, "makipag-usap/nakikipag-usap/nakipag-usap/makikipag-usap". They have the same meaning as their "mag-" counterparts however, they follow different sentence patterns. 1) Nag-uusap sina Rizza at Kweli Nzito (both Rizza and Kweli are doers of the action); 2) Nakikipag-usap si Rizza (performer of the action) kay Kweli Nzito (performed the action with). Tawa = laugh We don't use neither "nag" nor "mag" with this type of verb to conjugate them. Tumawa is the past perfect or just past form of the verb "tawa". Tawa - laugh tUMATawa= laughing (present) tUMawa= laughed, was laughing taTAwa= will laugh, are/is going to laugh. There are group of verbs called UM-verbs which can be conjugated by adding "um" like tawa. Alis - Leave UMAalis - leaving (present) UMalis - left (past) Aalis - will leave, are/is going to leave.
