Eagles had the best ride experience of any bus I’ve ever been on. And it didn’t matter if it was an 05, 10, or 15. A 2-axle 10 rode just as smooth as a 45 foot 15.

I used to go to the APTA Conventions. I really miss the convention centers full of buses. Everyone you encounter is friendly. Even when they know your aren’t ever purchasing a bus, they are still willing to give you a tour.

Great video James I was so excited after Ì saw it the first time I watched it three more times. First reason I stayed at the Rosen Plaza once a year for abot 5 years. The place still looks the same it was a decent place. But what excited me the most was your interview with the Virginia Trailways driver. That Eagle was beautiful and in my day and his that was our Pevost. I would have a big grin when I was asigned one for a charter or line run. I didn't hear Dennis response but did he drive Eagles for PCC? If you get to Burlington, IA stop by Burlington Trailways maintenance facility they have one of their Eagles that they restored and it is beautiful. Burlington Trailways was one of the 5 original companies that founded the Trailways Bus System.

Another great video James! I just ran across this before getting ready for work and now I’ll be late for work. Lol I love the interview with the former Trailways driver and his beautiful Eagle 🦅 I drove for Trailways (Safeway Trails) out of Philadelphia and he’s right the Eagle bus was fantastic!

I would have loved to have gone if I could have afforded it. However, due to the fact I’m in a wheelchair I would never be able to sit in the driver seat and get the feel of it. I did send an email to MCI suggesting they come out with a coach where a person in a wheelchair could drive it.

Nice covering James.. I like the new face of the new Temsa 35. But i'm still curious with ts30 though. The irizar is pretty good although for me it doesn't look as "luxurious" as others. I think irizar USA is the only irizar model that is integrally manufactured. Outside north America they are usually only build the body to be attached on scania, volvo or mercedes chassis. Also do you know anything about Brazilian coach brand CAIO in North America? I have seen some models built for north American market. Yet i rarely see them on the road

The North American CAIO coaches are built on American-built Freightliner Custom chassis that is shipped to Brazil prior to the manufacture of each model. As for the U.S. model Irizar coaches, I believe the only difference is drivetrain (Cummins-powered), as the European Irizar i6/i8 model is built in fully integrated form as well, in addition to the old-fashioned way (Body on Scania (mostly), Mercedes-Benz and Volvo chassis (especially in Brazil)), the European models that are the integral examples have Paccar engines. UPDATE: Had to correct those Irizar model names, I keep confusing the i6 and i8 model nomenclatures with the (somewhat earlier, style-wise) PB model. LOL

@@dth2brny121 if so then irizar is pretty good at making their products fits in any market. Wether it's in the region where customers prefer integral or non integral buses. Irizar can get their products marketed there. I just think about caio. Like the cost. First, they brought the freightliner chassis from US to Brazil to build the body. The ship to north America again. Sounds economically inefficient to me. Are these buses still around in north America?
