I took my sons apart and did pretty much the same as you. Then I tested it, pulled it apart again, and carried on polishing 😅. Eventually it became a bit smoother. Thanks for the video my friend 👍🏻

i have been preaching this for many years with airguns, etc. , but what up to about 3 yrs ago , this is how i solved the problem with the umarex hdp.50 . on a stock hdp.50 , if pointed straight down , straight up , shooting sideways like da ganstas do in movies , shooting it upside down , you will notice the trigger locks up and cant be pulled . i have tried to break triggers on older hdp.50's , they are tough i must admit . by my system of filling , sanding , shaping and polishing , my hdp's are able to shoot steel balls in any configuration , which is good , because , you never know what angle you will have to shoot in an emergency lol . the loading /sealing gate is the main problem , it has to be shaped perfectly to allow the steel ball to be perfectly cradled in the gate to be able to lift the ball into to shooting area , "chamber" and then perfectly close shut for two things , to be able to pull the trigger and seal the area to make about 85% of co2 push ball through barrel . i dont stop at the loading gate , i polish and smooth out all parts especially anything to do with the ease of firing !!!! . it takes 1 to 2 weeks for me to do a umarex hdp.50 , this includes all the sanding , filing and polishing etc. , valve block removal , lubing all o-rings and parts ,, LIGHTLY SCARRING THE VALVE TUBE SO IT HOLDS THE LUBE MUCH BETTER AND LONGER , KEEPS THE BOLT WORKING EFFORTLESSLY AND ALWAYS WELL LUBED , all internals with silicone oil , grease and or gel depending where it is used ,DOING MY SPECIAL EXTRAS FOR RELIABILITY PROTOCOL , installing one of the 4 firing pins , installing tuning barrel , and all testing involved ! i think a hundred dollar fee is a great deal considering how long it takes to do and the guarantee the hdp.50 will perform the way its supposed to , everytime , all the time !!! parts and shipping is where a good chunk of the money comes from , being IT COMES FROM THE VERY BEST , MY FRIEND FLORIAN SOLLNER , Florian Söllner , FROM HOME DEFENCE -24 , VALVE FIRING PIN , CO2 PIERCING PIN OPTIONAL , 2 PIECE TUNING BARREL , SNIPER EXTENSION , FOR STARTERS , THIS SET UP CAN BRING HDP.50 TO 42 ,43 JOULES . OF COURSE HPA TANK WITH 1000 TO 1100 REGULATOR , Z-RAM VALVE EXTENSION , EXTRA BARRELS SECTIONS CAN BRING EVEN MORE POWER TO THIS SET UP !!! JUST REMOVING VALVE BLOCK AND MY CONDITIONING PACKAGE , YOU WILL GET 24 TO 26 PLUS JOULES APPROXIMATELY . EVEN THOUGH I NOW HAVE MY AWESOME AMAZING MERCURY RISE INTRUBUSTER , I STILL VALUE MY 3 DIFFERENT SET UPS OF MY 26 , 38 AND 42 plus JOULES VERSION UMAREX HDP.50'S ! IF I PUT IN CO2 restrictor INSIDE CO2 AREA , I WILL GET SLIGHTLY LOWER BUT MORE REGULATED DOUBLE AND SOMETIMES TRIPLE THE SHOTS , THIS KEEPS IT MORE "LESS LETHAL" AND GIVES ME MORE PRACTICE AND TRAINING PER CO2 CART !!! IF A MARKER CAN PUT A STEEL BALL STRAIGHT THROUGH A TIN CAN WITHIN 1 TO 3 YARDS , ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR SELF DEFENSE I FIGURE !!!! WITH RUBBER BALLS EITHER SOLID OR WHATEVER , I ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE TO LUBE THEM WITH SILICONE OIL , IT JUST MAKES THEM WORK BETTER !!!! @@runerebel8441 yes i agree , i wish you could test one i re do , compared to one just modified with same parts . and what i love about my mods , you dont need to install a magnet , good news for everyone , if you just carefully mod the loading/sealing gate it would make your hdp.50 so much more reliable !!! .... my intrubuster , "pistelle x -68 is my main edc now , but i have complete confidence in my 3 hdp's and also my modded HDR.68 @ 38 JOULES , ITS ALSO QUITE EFFECTIVE !!!!
