Brood needs to fly over here asap. I wanna see his plant in an american major
@richardcurrie73085 жыл бұрын
Give him some time. I don’t think his piranha plant is ready for Tweek’s Pokémon or MkLeo’s Joker (which are pretty aggressive, dominant, and like to combo, edgeguard, and gimp). Once his plant becomes more dominant and has to runaway less, then he might have a chance to make it far enough to face all the aggressive players (aka Esam’s Pikachu, Light’s Fox, Marss’ Zss, Tweek’s Pokémon, MkLeo’s Joker, and more.) To them Pirahna Plant will look like combo food and a easy edgeguard. So yeah. Just give him time.
@alecchavez94305 жыл бұрын
@@richardcurrie7308 I think Brood is ready for Tweek but not for Leo's caliber, won't be surprised that in the next big major (Kongo Saga) Tweek would get upset at pools, but I think Brood is quite good to even get top 24 or 16 in a big major outside Japan, he has done it quite times

Kind of. Piranha plant is viable but unlikely to win. Little mac literally couldn't win a major tournament of that skill level. Neither could ganon really. But most characters in the game possibly could so you're not too wrong and any character can be played to a high level, just not the highest. All but maybe 5 can be played to the highest level theoretically.

For real though I loved this character day one but kept getting tossed when I played him so I shelved him. I felt like he could do it because he can take you from 0 to 100% in like 3 seconds and he can chunk your shields like nobody's business. But you have to actually learn how to play him. He's not like a swordie or a standard brawler. He's not going to combo you and he's not going to be the one to whiff punish. In fact he's going to get his salad tossed the minute he commits to anything he shouldn't have. I don't know how many times I've gone for a neutral B, missed by an inch, and gotten slapped into tomorrow. But I'll be damned if he ain't fun to play. When you land that neutral B or get an unexpected snipe on your down B you feel like you're the heaviest heavy in the world. Just from my time playing him I know you have to have exit strategy in mind when playing Plant. You've got to know where that ball is going to be and you have to know when to put it there. And the minute you overstep and you've got a ball in the wrong place at the wrong time, you've got to know when to fold your hand and bounce before you're bouncing from the fist to the floor to the grave. You've got to become Zone Master with your poison. You've got to force their movement with your beefy attacks. And all of this culminates into hard reads. Knowing where your opponent needs to be, knowing how to get him there, and knowing what to do when he isn't there will make all the difference between a win or a loss. But one thing's for sure is that you won't win with Plant by playing like a "normal" character. You have to change to fit the snappy boi.

To give you some advice from an aspiring Plant main, ball is very good to just hold out and drop. If your opponent does the wrong move it trades. Plant is heavy so going for trades will mostly be in his favor. The biggest gimmick plant has is how much damage he can rack up from good decisions. And his up throw kills starting at 140, which might not seem great but he lacks reliable kill options so i take what i can get. I hope you rejoin the Plant gang so that we may photosynthesize together

Looking at Brood play you can see he almost uses ONLY the B button, no neutral, no disadvantage o advantage, just 3 moves over and over again. Sounds super boring to main the plant honestly.
@MidoseitoAkage5 жыл бұрын
And he can destroy you by if you're not careful with it. Because his 3 moves can have him calculate his distance and he imposes his rhythm well against his opponent by doing only theses 3 moves. In other words, the pirahna plant is good to made you in some bad position and he can punish you so easily in return by if you're not careful with that.
