The speaker on my S8+ sucks. That's why I use my bluetooth earbuds. I wouldn't be buying this phone for it's speaker. Fuck the speaker. That battery life is bigger than any current flagship phone I've seen so far and is why I would buy it. I do a lot of website writing/posting which equals a lot of screen on time. My S8+ can't keep up with me. I constantly carry an ANKER battery charger in my pocket while I'm working. It's a hassle. I need a phone with a battery that can last.

@@subarnochowdhury9388 speaker is definitely average at best out the box... However I use the app ' Volume booster by good dev' and the speaker sounds great.

@Boven YT yes my audio has been fine no issues at all and I've had the phone a week now... To be clear i did not set up google assistant because I personally don't use it, but others who have said they've experienced the 'mute' bug... The fix for now if encountered is to disable the assistant until hopefully umidigi does some software updates..

I have had this phone for a week, and for the battery and stock Android, I'm loving it so much! I got it for $150 on Amazon, so came in one day in the same green color. THICC CHONK for sure, but max brightness, wifi off of my Pixel 2XL hotspot and 4 hours and 46 minutes of screen on time, it went down to like 56%. Insane! Pokemon go KILLS every single phone I have, but this thing is a tank! If they keep making a follow up like the Power 4 or another one that has a few more features like OLED at FHD resolution, I may just buy more of these Umidigi phones! Thanks for the review!

@@ZN88 it originally had a bug that muted the audio when voice activation was turned on to pull up the Google Assistant. That was fixed in an update though. I have this phone, and since the last update I've had zero issues. Also, the issue he talks about with games not running in full screen has been fixed with the update, as well as the maximum volume not being very loud. It's a really nice phone for the price

good review, on the power 3.....I had to return my F2, too many software problems.....I like umidigi phones and try to support the brand but usually their best phones are sub $ 150.00 ones.....am currently using the A3S, which I picked up for $60.00 (Chinese website)....best phone unidigi has out for the money......the A3S does everything without a problem, while the F2 had problems with the camera's/google search/speakers etc.......

I often wonder how some outfits can put relatively, good hardware in their phones and still make a profit. I know labor is cheap, but so for high end handsets. I have always had sub 300 dollar phones, but not the Chinese brands. All my phones have been LG or moto or Sanyo. How do those hold up over time?

Seems nice for the price. Still my disappointment with these inexpensive, even more expensive, large screen phones, are the speakers. Why if you want a nice movie, game, screen, not put in a set of stereo speakers to make the experience, complete. Thanks Paul.

@@Carrington1961 most of the phones that have stereo speakers, were less expensive. Around 350 bucks. Plus if you wait a year even less. Price definitely isn't the factor. Plus today s phones are boasting media. And with media there's sound. And why should you have to have ear buds in your pocket just to have some quality audio. HTC, Sony, Google phones, etc all saw the benefit of front facing stereo speakers, but their prices were always a bit high for me. Then moto and nexus came out. Trust me, once you've experienced true front facing stereo speakers in person, you'd be spoiled too. I used to think, how could you get true stereo sound, from a small device,,, but it's very much a fact, you do.

@@peterford9369 when you say less expensive the phone in video costs 120 dollars + I actually use a Samsung galaxy s7 edge and having stereo speakers on a phone is honestly nothing to write home about , nothing compared to the surround sound that you get using earphones and Dolby atmos

Peter Ford, I have d Power 3 from Umidigi, got it of AliExpress for $149.99 because of d large battery, wish it had stereo speakers. Now Motorola is offering d Moto G Power & d Moto G Stylus with stereo speakers (d former with 5000 mAh battery), 2 things I always wanted in a smartphone. I remember when I used to always review d ZTE Axon 7 with it's forward facing stereo speakers but sadly it was outside of my price range. Now these new Motorola devices are coming in at $250 & $300 respectively. I am interested bcoz of d stereo speakers but their prices is way above what Umidigi is offering. Did not setup my Power 3 after hearing about d upcoming Moto phones, just wish I could resell it.

There is a major sound bug with this phone. Sound, including ringtone and notification tones, are randomly muted. Umidigi really should have picked this up before release and as yet no software fix release. But you can fix it by disabling Google Assistant. You need to disable Assistant and any OK Google voice listening. Apart from that....great phone for the price!

bought this the other day and love it. only paid $160 cause of 25% coupon code for amazon. the sound actually does get loud depending on the tasks your doing. gaming and emulation is where the speakers show how loud they get. dont get why music and videos are so low. theres a bug when comes to the sound tho. you need to disable the google app or you will get no sound at all till it decides it wants sound to work. disabling google app is the only solution and there are forum posts on umidigi site about this issue. besides this one bug tho its a great device for the money and definitely the best budget phone unless you want better specs. if want specs better than the s10 (benchmark scores can prove it) go for the mi 9 but if need sd support go for the power 3

@@ifacedownworship , one model the camera got all blurry after about 2 weeks , another ear piece speaker stopped working after about 1 month . I also have the F1 and that has had no issues in almost a year that I have owned it. I have never been happy with any of their cameras

I have two Power 3's and this is the proper setting. The issue is the max volume that was preset. All we do is max them out at 252 and all is perfect. Follow EXACTLY and you'll have joy. Cheers! *#***#3646633**#*#* Scroll to Hardware Testing>Audio>Volume>Voice Second drop down select Receiver and set value to 252, click Set. Second dropdown again, select Speaker and set value to 252, click Set. That's it, you're done and all is good now.
