There is a VCarve option under the engrave operation and I'm able to select it but can't make it work. It would be amazing if you would create a video showing how to use it.

I like this. I have been trying to work out how to sensibly add colour infill for ages. Your formply substrate answers the question. Coat 5he surface prior to machining then spray colour and remove the coating. I realise that sounds vague, acrylic paint should do the trick allowing simple peeling.

Thank you for the video! I was wondering, which file type is required when selecting the font type? It seems that the font files are not in the FreeCad files? Can I donwload them from the FreeCad website? Your assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Look for single line fonts, but many search results are directing to commercial offers. There are some free font that I used in the video and I collected them over some time.

can you make a tool path that can be exported as a DXF file, I want to be able to pocket an object with a 3mm bit, with multiple paths and export them as our CNC uses its own software/g code

Hi did you change the default settings for the measurement. Check the documenation there is a good diagramm displaying the measurements. I also referenced it in the video.wiki.freecadweb.org/File:Path-DepthsAndHeights.gif

@@stefankrimbacher7917 Hallo Stefan, willst du einen Cutter einsetzen? Es ist sehr schwierig zu sagen was die beste Lösung ist, mit so wenig Informationen. Du kannst 2D Zeichnungen nehmen und die Pfade damit generieren lassen (Draft Workbench).

@@umlooad Okay. Mit der Funktion Profile funktioniert das, jetzt habe ich es endlich. Man kann eine Innen- bzw. Außenbearbeitung und einen Offset einstellen.

Hi, I´m currently using Fusion 360 for 3D milling, after testing freecad 3D options a lot. There are many problems with Freecad 3D milling toolpath generation currently, therefore I used Fusion. A video is in progress and comes out in the next days. Do you have specific questions?
