I can't remember who said it, but its true, "Don't think of resting and sleeping as time wasted but as actively working to repair your body". When you look at it that way taking a nap when you need it is a good thing. You certainly looked better at the end of the video than you did at the start which is nice to see, and considering everything you've gone through, quite remarkable. Well done you. Enjoy the show, you lucky thing. Take Care.👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦

Mandy you are beautiful and even more so after everything you have gone through. Right, this time last year ish, I told you that my husband had been in Wythenshawe Hospital with sepsis for three months. Because it had not been diagnosed and being repeatedly sent home with paracetamol. The infection had damaged his heart, he had to have valve replacement surgery, it also has damaged his eye sight and he has been left with heart failure. It all started with a urinary tract infection following catheterisation for retention. I am fanatical about sepsis, never disregard a temperature. Had I not got an ambulance that night when he was at his worst I was told he would have been dead within 12 hours. He kept saying I will be alright in the morning! Please petal listen to your body, a temperature means something. If I can get this message out to all that read it I will be a happy bunny. Take care petal every day is the way to your recovery.

Nothing wrong with a quick nap if you feel like it, just your bodies way of saying 'not so fast madam we've still got some healing to do!' Great to see you looking better and gradually putting it behind you. ❤

You are beautiful inside and out , I watch every single video you post , I don’t comment on every one , but I do know you are a strong lady , my friend went through breast cancer and I only met her while she was going through it, so we grew close through me taking her to radiotherapy. The one thing I've found with Chronic Fatigue over the last 7 years is that socialising uses up as much energy as doing something active AND you never know you've done too much until AFTER you stop. Perhaps have short catchups with 1 or 2 people, then a rest would be a good option? I'm okay with 1 or 2 people, more than that and more than one conversation at once and it seems to fry my brain more/use up way more energy and leave me feeling pretty yuk a bit later. Take the meds and rest up - this will lead to a quicker recovery than if you keep over doing it - trust me I've been there and learned the hard way! You are looking and sounding better/more yourself in each clip on the video. Take care of yourself, sit back in your comfy chair and watch those planes arrive.

Please take it easy and listen to your body. If you need to rest or sleep then do. Try not to rush back to doing things too quickly. I had 6 months of chrmo, surgery, radiotherapy, and a year of immunotherapy. I have been really surprised at how long it is taking me to recover, I finished chemo last April and immunotherapy this April. I am so deconditioned. I often need a nap at work and when I come home I crash for 2+hours every night. I have been frustrated at how different I am, but I have finally come to terms with that I am not the same person I was before my treatment. I learnt the hard way, would push myself one day and thrn pay for it for the next 2 days. You are very early days after finishing your treatment, just take one day at a time.

Hi Mandy I’ve been watching all your videos on your cancer treatment and I’ve commented on a couple, I’ve had the same treatment as you and finished my last brachytherapy treatment last Wednesday. I’m sorry you haven’t been too good with side effects but please rest as much as possible. I know it’s easy to think once treatment is over you can do everything you used to do but you still have much healing to do and you cannot run before you can walk as your body is quick to remind you. You know what I have done this past week from treatment NOTHING so much nothing I have bum ache 😂 But by god do I feel better for it, I had a couple of days Friday and Saturday that were a bit awful with side effects but I’ve felt much better and more like my old self again, it’s been a long time since I’ve felt so good but I also know it’s deceiving and if I try and do more than my body can handle right now I’ll be back to square one again. Baby steps Mandy one small step each day or even every few days don’t push too much you will get there when your body is ready Give yourself time ❤❤

You certainly look better at the end of the video, small steps every step getting you closer to back to how you were, you probably could do without the complication of the menopause but that won’t last too long fingers crossed it does have an end date thankfully. Sweetie, please follow your body - stay on top of the pain, rest, rest, rest, rest. It's going to be a while before you're back to (so-called) normal. Give yourself time. The fact that the radiation continues to do its bit after treatment stops really did me in (and I didn't have radiation where you did!). Again, rest, rest, and keep asking for help from your medical team.

Hot flushes post-cancer treatment are no joke! I actually had to buy a waterproof mattress protector to save my mattress. It sounds bizarre, but I kept a pair of very slightly damp socks in a ziplock bag in the fridge. Putting them on instantly cools your feet which very quickly helps to cool the rest of you.
