Grew up in this denomination. The demonology traumatises you. Especially the supposed exorcisms. I’m middle aged now and still sleep with the nightlight on. The nightmares still come at night.

Can we please talk about how the modern “trans rights movement” is absolutely and unquestionably cult-like? I hope that my fellow progressives are able to be objective about this and see the similarities. In a recent interview, you commented on how people on the autism spectrum and people with a history of sexual trauma are particularly sensitive to cult indoctrination. We know that a large percentage of people who identify as “trans” also have autism. We also know that sexual trauma often causes body image issues, from eating disorders and body dysmorphia, to gender dysphoria. We have known this for years. We also have to look at the way detransitioners are ridiculed when they choose to detransition. They’re ostracized from the community and demonized. The parallels are there if you are willing to look at this honestly.
