I've never been a fan of noise, but I could give this a listen

I don't think this can be exactly classified as metal. I mean, I don't label this "metal" myself, as some of the drone things I do are entirely done on synthesizers. As for enjoyment, it may vary from track to track and from person to person; finding some elements in the texture addictive or entrancing is totally subjective. I'm simply putting my ideas out there: not trying to be particularly metal in this one. If one in a million finds this outstanding, I am happy.

I'm glad you enjoy the performances. Well, some of them are at Yale (especially the more recent ones), but some are from Peabody or just not related to the school (professional concerts, etc.). Do you have a website of your work or anything? I'd be very interested in seeing it. Send it to me via message if you can. =)

Actually, all of the instruments are amplified through the piano resonator. The sustain pedal is down and the speakers are positioned right underneath the resonator board. It gives the sound of the whole mix the metallic color, extra sustain, body and definitely strengthens the high end of the feedback. I use the piano in a different improvisation, which hasn't been posted yet.

I think that those of us who are enthusiasts in these genres can agree that commercialism is not the end-all-be-all of music, and that's putting it mildly.

Personally, I've always thought of Drone and Noise music in general as being more "useful" than it is "entertaining." I also rather like it, I thought this in particular was nice; and I have to admit, playing with guitar feedback textures is a lot of fun.

30 minutes of really high gain, random power chords, messing around with some dark low tempo beats. I hope that wasn't a serious question.

I mean I was making fun of them, but it doesn't mean I dislike them. They're definitely one of my favorite bands of any genre and a huge inspiration.
