@@MarvinPowell1Well Greenwich is not “insignificant”. It has the royal observatory which was the biggest (value and quality I mean) observatory during the renaissance. Plus GMT was decided upon when the British Empire was the most influential economic and imperial power in the world, as well as the strongest naval power. It’s not just “a bunch of rich people thought it’d be funny”. There’s logic behind it, because the world needed it to be based on Greenwich considering most of the trade going on in the world had Britain somewhere in it - trading, currency, protection, tariffs whatever.

yeah fr, i feel like this is a case where the use of ai 1). contributes to the style of the work (the sort of ugliness and strange movements of it fits with the grotesque creatirws) and 2). is used in a case where the producrion quality for making something equivalent would be magnitudes higher (which would entail either cgi or multiple actors with costumes) so it really makes sense here

If you took an ancient person and brought him to the present, i wonder how long it would take to adapt, if there wasn't a language barrier. We have all this impressive technology that would almost seem magic, but the average person has zero survival skills, couldn't build a fire, hunt, or grow crops, navigate using stars, or just sit and do nothing, even. We'd just show them cat videos on our smart phones. Eventually, someone would ask how they built pyramids, and they'd be like "it's obvious. We stacked gigantic rocks in this pointed shape." They'd figure out modern man has regressed to a pre-hunter-gatherer level. Ancient humans could do algebra intuitively. We're just passive observers, except for some people that tell the people in charge what to tell the rest of us to do.

my headcanon is that the monolith only actually affected the state of wyoming, and the forcefield is what's keeping all the non changed humans from entering or communicating with the "glurons". That explains how their evidence of the lost city of emereeka is so scarce, why their populations are so small, and why every town and city is so close to deedle.

I'm in the idea phase more than anything, and I'm moving soon so I can't afford to start all the subscriptions needed to generate the content, but once I move, I'll take a swing at a one shot and see how I feel about it. The most important (and likely ciminally overlooked because of the content category) aspect to your content is your editing skills and writing, which is something I'll have to practice. The fades to the "Artist Renditions" and amount of time spent on each interview is masterful and hits that history channel vibe perfectly. The only way I think you could improve it is by using a generative AI that's good at recreating the same character in different images and make multiple angles that you can swap between to keep viewers attention even better!
