Your mention of Brown Trout being the most challenging reminded me of my childhood fishing them in my local lake. They are the short bitingest trout I've ever encountered. The best technique I found was to throw Super Dupers in chrome and red with the trebel barbs pinched to throw the tip point out slightly and count down the depth of sink then reeling very slowly. The next best method was to throw 1\12 th oz. Kastmasters in much the same manner. For what it's worth that was my experiance.

If you want to come to Northern Michigan, the Ausable river is a gold standard river in northeastern Michigan to fish for trout. Nice small town too.

Guys you need to go to chiloe island, there you can catch giant Brown trouts. And then you have rio serrano river next to "Torres del paine" national park there you can catch some of the biggest chinooks on the world

Not all the patagonian rivers have a lot of huge trouts, you always gonna have the chance to catch a giant in any river there. But in a few places, specially far from towns and roads, you will find rivers and lagoons with a large population of big trouts. Even at the central zone of Chile, near Santiago you can catch giants, i do a lot of helifishing and have the oportunity to catch real giants in some rivers and lagoons at cordillera de los andes
