My chickens recognize logos. They will BOLT across a field to check out a discarded Starbuck's cup. (they have had "puppiccinos") They BAWK excitedly in the car when they see we are pulling into a Starbucks drive through. Not exactly brainless. Logos were MEANT to be recognized and linked with the product. EVEN they get it.

Correct about PHX. At first I thought the "X" stood for the last letter in the city name of Phoenix. Wikipedia states: (Note: the X does not originate from the x at the end of Phoenix but is the result of appending an X at the end.)

I actually knew about the first one. I think I found that out from Brian Tyler Cohen. I might have heard about it from Robert Reich as well. As for the chores thing that didn't work out for my wife. Her mother made her do chores even when she was like 5 years old and couldn't even stand tall enough to do dishes on the sink. And sadly she doesn't even have a job mostly because of some serious physical disabilities and it's been hard trying to get her on some kind of government paid disability so that for once I'm not the only income earner

Thats not an accurate way to describe iq test scoring. They're not making them mote difficult. They are adjusting ehay equates to 100. They maintain 100 as average. So lets say there's 100 questions on an IQ test. In 1950 the average person got 70 of those questions right. In 1950, getting 70 right on that test would give you an IQ of 100. Today, the average is 75 correct answers, so soneoen who gets 75 today has an IQ of 100. 100 is always the average. So it is more difficult to get a 100 today then it was 50 years ago, but that's not because the questions are harder. And just to be clear, thats not exactly how I'd tests are scored. They aren't just about correct answers. They're also about rhe most correct answer, and about how long it takes to get those answers.

I absolutely am offended at the 9/11 MEMORIAL. Those towers should have been put right back up like in other countries. Yet being the weak ones voted for that. It is a disserve to all the lives lost.
