Just curious as to why no NHL clips lately?? Is it just because the season hasn’t started? Or is it you just didn’t want to include them? I don’t mind seeing the minor leagues once in a while but you haven’t done any NHL clips in quite a while and I love watching those clips. Like I said, just curious.

Maybe Mike Modano's one in around 1999 or 2000, knocking away the puck which was up in the air above the goal line and he did that while he was holding the stick with one hand.

@@Brandon34300 I'm really wondering that too. in the video it seems that the goalie is really upset with the ref afterwards, so the only explanation I can think of that makes any sense is that the ref didn't blow the whistle to signal the start of the shootout attempt like he's supposed to. the goalie was hunched over and probably had his eyes closed trying to do some visualization and get in the zone or whatever and without the whistle he had no idea the shooter was coming. the fact that the guy failed to score anyway is pure comedy

We’ll probably never know the exact answer for sure unless someone who was involved has talked about it but that’s got to be the most sensible explanation for what happened. It makes it all that much funnier that the guy didn’t score if this is the case too.

The ref hadn't blown the whistle to start the penalty shot, so the goalie was in his own headspace waiting for the whistle to blow to alert him to the fact that the skater would be coming. Hence his "what the literal fuck, ref" reaction at the end there.
