Depending on the plumbing, I would fix up that huge cavernous storage room with the boiler on the ground floor and turn it into the large eat in kitchen. I would rip out the whole kitchen and open it up, making the 1st floor the reception rooms and guest bedrooms. The top floor would be my private suite

You can use it as a table, and pull stools up to the island (leave a space underneath for the stools). It’s a place to lay out large projects. It’s a very versatile space. Flexible. That’s why they are so popular. Once you use one, I think you’d love it. Oh, and invaluable for Christmas cookie baking!!!

This is the true Italy. It has everything one person could ask for, except a garden.. Remove the wall and make the kitchen big like all the other rooms. This channel is amazing. I'm becoming more and more tempted to take the plunge and look to own a property in Italy. The boiler I'd block off and have a wine cellar. The kitchen I would take the walls out and open up the area to more light and an open space. You could easily turn this into a beautiful B & B if you had serious money to spend on it. This house is amazing! I’d live in the first part as I restored the second part as the main living area. The gorgeous upstairs room needs a wet bar area with alcohol and coffee. The rest of the house I’d figure out as I go. There is a ton of room and you can figure it out as you live there as to what works best. Awesome find!!!

I've watched this video over and over again. My heart does flip flops and starts beating a little faster every time I see each room. Didn't think I wanted a home quite so palatial but maybe I do! I certainly wouldn't divide this into 2 apartments. I would definitely use the beautiful upstairs room as a lounge.

You asked for opinions on how to use the space of this fantastic house. It is a tough one but here is my suggestion. If we skip the beautiful entrance on the ground floor the house is divided into 3 distinct levels: The first should be converted into a big kitchen and dining room. This leaves one room extra. This should be filled with Chesterfields and humidors for smoking Havana cigars. Next level is dominated by beautiful columns. This should be kept for a big bedroom with bathroom, and a separate bedroom and bathroom for guest and a nurse when you get older. The top floor is dominated by the beautiful high ceiling. It should be the most holy space in the house. Place a few giant objects on the floor: My favorites are wooden antique temple guardians 4,5 meters high and big Buddha statues. There should be big framed mirrors on the walls to expose the back side of the statues. The mirrors reflecting each other make and infinite horizontal dimension which makes a beautiful contrast to the high ceiling’s vertical shaft.

Abruzzo is the greenest region of Abruzzo with 2 thirds of it national park. There are lots of trees!!

Grow some lovely little trees on the balcony. It is a different vibe from a Canadian lodge amongst the piney forest though, but you're not far from the mountains or the beaches. As long g as you have a scooter, sounds like you can go anywhere. Also, you could probably find even less expensive properties in the wooded countryside nearby if you don't like living in town.

I would do the kitchen and add a powder room in the entrance room. Upstairs divide into suites with own bathrooms for rental and living. The old kitchen out. Could be converted into laundry room and area for linens and supplies. Oh so much possibilities in this property. It is truly STUNNING!

I agree. I would keep the kitchen where it’s at, knock down that wall in the kitchen to keep it open with an island and dining area. I’d keep the bedroom where it’s at just pull off the wall paper throughout paint it all white to keep it crisp and airy though out. I’d put some wood beams in the living room and bedroom.

I think it’s really good that you do take a walk because people want to get a sense of what the town is like how populated it is like you’re showing that it’s clean I live in the state so I’m always watching his videos but it’s really hard when somebody just pops you into the city and you don’t and then you see the apartment but you don’t understand the actual location how close you are to the major cities that were in Italy that were used to hearing from Venice, Florence it’s a Tuscan in a valley. It’s always nice to get what you’re doing. I appreciate you taking the time thank you so much.
