Unbelievable Quartz Mining Operation Going Down in Arkansas

The Crystal Collector spent several weeks mining at the oldest mine n Arkansas, Hamilton Hill Mine. Mined since the mid 1800’s. Several large clusters were found, here is the documentation of one of them coming out of the wall after sitting there 250 million years!

The size of the crystals is wonderful, and the large cluster is gorgeous Bryan. It will be great to see it when you have it fully clean and crystal clear lol. This idea of hiding crystals to find is so amazing I love it! It's just such a shame only people in the U.S can be a part of this super cool treasure hunt but it sure is still fun to watch! Good Ol Avant ! When I was there a year or so ago , before they opened up to the public a nice lady I met was friends with the owner and gave me his number so I could go dig there and unfortunately at that point I already had a truck and trailer full of quartz crystals i had already dug elsewhere so I really didn't need to go there. However, I am looking forward to my next trip down to go dig there and hopefully get some good sized ones. Kool Vidayoo!

It's absolutely private. The people who run these mines allow popular youtubers to dig in these really spectacular pockets (and probably split the proceeds in some way) to give the mines publicity But they never allow the public to dig in the spots where the REALLY good stuff is. It is kind of a bait and switch, to tell you the truth. Even if you pay 300$ premium rate for them to "open a pocket" for you... you'll never get stuff like that large slab. You might get a few better pieces, but many times you'll get little to nothing. The mine owners keep those huge pieces all to themselves and sell them to rich collectors. That big slab will probably sell for 20,000$.

5:15 It would be cool to display that crystal like that. To keep the mud from drying out and breaking apart, Try mixing up some Elmer Glue and water 50/50. Soak it in that until it's well saturated or stops bubbling. It will dry clear and should hold that together for years. I never try that with mud but it work great with fossil bone and the hard tac river gravel we have here in Florida.
