I have a small home theater myself. This is the best HT video I’ve ever seen. Because I can relate. I have a 7.2.4 and recently purchased the BenQ 4550i . After always having Epson’s. Thanks again.

Ron, these are my favorite theaters to see on youtube because you are a normal guy just like me! I hate seeing professionally built theaters that arent realistic for the majority of the community. It is inspiring to see what you can do on a realistic budget and have such an amazing experience at home! great stuff!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I spend way too much time on sites like AVS admiring the $100k builds knowing that that will NEVER be me. Then I sit back in my little modest HT and say, what more could I ask for? This is perfect for “me”. Thanks for watching!

@@rontalley I do the same it is cool to see what people do with purpose built theater rooms, but I have a media room not a theater. I am totally okay with that. I love seeing what the majority of enthusiasts come up with on a reasonable budget! I love emotiva speakers I have them in my office.

I'm in the same boat here. Those massively expensive setups are nice and all but most people cant afford that. KZbin is oversaturated with that type of content.

Wow awesome room. I have similar room size and 5.2.4, but i wish i had emotiva instead of klipsch. But yes, you can have an awesome sounding room without spending a ton of money. Great job with the room. I agree with bass shakers too!

Thanks for the compliment. My old Polk RTIs just wasn’t cutting it for music. Had the upgrade itch for about 3 years and finally went for it. No regrets! Last time I went to the theater, I asked for a refund. 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching and hit that sub button for me. Thanks!

Good choices, Ron! Subscribed! I’ve also built my own room for similar cost. I’m using the same projector and mount, side and rear surrounds as you. I’m using T1+ and C3+ for LCR behind my 150” DIY screen. I went with SVS for height channels and subs. Thanks for the tour.
@rontalley Жыл бұрын
I probably should have went T1+ and C3+! Even though I only have 3 seats, I believe the wider and beefier C3+ would have been more beneficial than the larger T2+. The cost would have been the same. You chose wisely! Oh man 150”, I wish! What PJ? Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching!

After a year of use what is your opinion you have about the screen size and performance? I am almost at the same spot with you and I was thinking of going with 125" zero edge projector screen at 9ft viewing distance Thank you

@@harrypotter-mm1jz love, love, love the size of the screen for this room. Fills just right with a little bit of “too big”!

Good stuff. I have a similar set up but different speakers. I use Smartthings and Harmony combines also with Alexa (let's me speak for off/on). I did two SVS SB4000 subs but I wish I was skilled enough to do those 18 and a flat pack. How low does the bass go in your space? That's my one regret right now....the feeling that I can't reach those notes like an 18" sub
@rontalley Жыл бұрын
I would say 20Hz easy. Feels even lower with the shakers. I actually get even bass in all 3 seats. C2+ does an amazing job for MLP but my old Polk CS5 did a better job with the left and right seats. I actually just upgraded my base level speakers and really just now realizing how much better they are. Break-in period maybe?…Room sound freaking amazing! What speakers do you have?
@FHGwood Жыл бұрын
@@rontalley I have the SVS Ultra LCR and everything else Klipsch in wall/ceiling. I'm using the Monolith 11channel amp to run everything but I have the Average 3080 so that helps with the processing. I'm sure it's not tuned as well as it should be..I'm not as good with the YAPO but I'm highly impressed with the SVS Ultra line. I went from front towers to bookshelves. The towers didn't give me the extra help in base I thought I was getting. I realized it when the bookshelves were the same or better overall.

@@rontalley I just upgraded to the 120" Elite screen two weeks ago🤣🤣🤣. Amazon and covid has changed the game with what we can get now and competitive prices. My first 90" Stewart costed $3k 12 years ago. Now, I got a much larger screen for less than a TV!

@rontalley Жыл бұрын
I could definitely use more panels. I have REW and a UMIK-1 and after several (many) test, I got the best overall response with where they are now. When I had them down lower, I was getting some nasty reflections vs where they are now. Thanks for watching!
