There is one major problem with this monitor. Dell uses two or even three different panels with different characteristics. These two other panels have much worse contrast (below 1000:1) and are much less accurate in terms of colors. Check comments under Rtings review.

This monitor looks great in content creator reviews, but customer reviews say otherwise. Apparently, Dell uses a couple different panels with this monitor, and some of those panels are terrible. In Germany this monitor is currently available for ~230 EUR with the XG27ACS going for ~270. thats only a 17% difference for better refresh compliance/response times/input lag, 180Hz and even better color performance - which is probably worth it if you are going to keep the monitor for a couple years. sadly the AOC Q27G3XMN is still 360 EUR around here.

I did however confirm with Asus that the Asus XG27ACS since you reviewed it also uses innolux panels, no idea what percentage, if it's replacing the BOE panels or if it's particular countries, but it was Asus USA. I was originally looking for info on the new XG27ACG which has the same shell as the ACS but is an "AUO" panel. I have this monitor, bought it 9 months ago. Same issues, reddish/ yellowish tint, around 1000:1 contrast ratio. Fixed by fiddling with the colours in custom mode and changing the max and min brightness settings in the service menu. For some reason max was set to 198 and min to 123 if I recall correctly. Great coverage as usual. I have a little kind of REQUEST, or rather a suggestion for a longer project, in case you like the idea. As there are decent but relatively low cost monitors like this one, I think it would be very cool and interesting to see you guys buying, let's say, 10 exemplars of this model or of something of equivalent cost and value, and then performing the whole testing procedure on all of them: this way we could have an idea of the level of variability of performance in a lower cost monitor, in order to see what kind of lottery we're subscribing to when buying this kind of product. Hopefully the results will be very close for all monitors of the same model. But you never know, maybe there is the same kind difference in performance between two exemplars of a single model, as there is for two random exemplars of two different monitor models (of similar price). Thanks for your videos! p.s. I suggest this here both for the lower cost of the model you would have to buy multiple exemplars of, and for the fact that it's reasonable to expect more variability in low cost monitors then in top tier ones.

Hey man, I have a little kind of REQUEST, or rather a suggestion for a longer project, in case you like the idea. Take the money you have and buy 10 exemplars of this model or of something of equivalent cost or value, then donate it over to a reviewer you trust, sell the exemplars afterwards if you want to.

Bought this monitor at the end of the last year, it had an extremely terrible yellow-ish tint (whatever I did, the white always looked yellow and I just couldn't look at it) so I had to return it, to this day I have no idea if that's just how every panel in this monitor looks or if I had a defective unit.

Hi, I’d been watching some of your monitor reviews and I like that you do a thorough job describing all the characteristics and you never forget about the minimum brightness, which is a very important aspect for me, because I prefer monitors to be rather dimmer because I watch video content in a darker room, whether it is a monitor or a TV. Now I have a specific question, I hope you can help me out with this one. If in the specs of an OLED it reads - “Quantum Dot Color- Yes” does it mean that it is a QD-OLED? My question is related to an European model -LS27DG602SUXEN (Samsung Odyssey G6). So “Quantum dot color -Yes” means QD-OLED for sure?
