The Jews understand children of God entirely differently to Christians. It's entirely possible that Allah chose to not reveal himself with that name in the final revelation as it was so heavily misconstrued before. We don't have a problem with the terminology in principle, and we don't believe that a Christian or Jew who uses it in a metaphorical sense are blaspheming just by virtue of the terminology itself. But we don't use that terminology because Allah doesn't use that terminology in the Qur'an. At the end of the day, it's a name that carries a meaning, but it's not necessary to know God by all his names to be worshipping the same God. Orthodox Judaism allows Jews to pray in a mosque but not a church, because they believe Muslims but not Christians worship the same God, despite Jews also having the child of God terminology in their scriptures.

@@ha.alamin I am so happy that many Muslims and many Jews/Israelites by the Holy Spirit are now coming to believe and have a relationship with Christ Jesus especially now that we are in the last days and the Holy Spirit is being poured out according to the Prophet Hosea. My friend please do not die in your sins. Please read the I AM statements that Jesus Christ made in context. No one else have made or can make these claims. No amount of daily prayers will save anyone from our sins when we die. Jesus Christ alone paid that price by the grace of God the Father. I love Muslims and Jews even though both Muslims and Orthodox Jews completely agree on the fact that Jesus Christ is not the son of God, that He did not die on a cross and He was not raised from the dead and the devil is very happy for them to believe that.

He seemed to have a set agenda he wanted to stick to and didn't allow for the natural flow of conversation, nor for either guest to fully explain their actual positions. Also, the host kept adding his own theological position into the questions, even answering some questions himself if he wasn't happy with how a guest responded. I'd love to have seen how the conversation could have flowed with a different host.

Read these verses in the QURAN: The Believers (al-Muminun) 23:1-6, Ways of Ascent (al-Maarij) 70:29-30, The Women (al-Nisa) 4:24, The Confederates (al-Ahzab) 33:50-52 -> Sex with slaves, Sex with slaves even if they are married. Sex with Slaves for Muhammad. Read these verses in the BIBLE: Numbers 31 - Jesus / God commands the killing of innocent children and keep the virgins for yourself. Such nonsense. Crazy people still believe this stuff in 2025.

Watch all the debates at speaker's corner, you will get all the reference you need. Watch all the debates Muslim scholars have on their channels where they provide slide-shows of manuscript evidence to support their claims. This is a debate setting, if you're looking for sourced information, you need to look for it. All this Christian speaker has done is list sources such as his book and we the viewers have to take his word for it. He never showed any of the sources directly for us to witness and see if his assertions are correct and not taken out of context. Either you're not looking for evidence or you're just in a debate video looking for sourced material evidence, which is something you'll never find.

Really interesting debate. One thing it revealed is the importance of understanding the Old Testament and seeing Jesus as the fulfilment of scripture. The argument that Christianity is some kind of departure from the Jewish Scriptures was constantly asserted to imply that Christianity was something novel. It was also interesting seeing Abdullah's attempt to divide Jesus and Paul (e.g. suggesting that the scope of Jesus' vision was for Jews alone and Paul takes Christianity in a different direction - and Isalm is the final revelation that broadens out faith further). I think that reveals a selective reading of the gospel. Jesus operated in a Jewish context but he was clear that the rejection of the gospel by many Jews would result in the spread of the kingdom beyond the confines of Judaism (e.g. John 10:16). Also Pentecost reveals the global reach of the gospel and, unlike Islam, makes clear that what will unite the world is the message of Jesus rather than a single language or Middle Eastern culture. The fact that we are dealing with very different ideas about God is fleshed out in the Christian conviction that the Divine Word became flesh. To Muslims that is an anathema.

@@AmmonRa-wm5kc except they don’t. Most people are on their forefathers’ religion as atheists love to say. So look at religious switching instead of religion. Where are people switching from and to? How about controlled for education, i.e. are Christian clerics switching to Islam more or are Muslim clerics switching to Christianity more? Then look at surveys of what doctrines people actually believe within each religion. Many lay Christians are instinctively subordinationists, despite the trinity making the coequality of all three persons a point of doctrine; many Christian go against their nominal denomination and naturally see Jesus as a lesser god at best, with the father being the True God (and Jesus literally says the Father is the “only true god” in the Bible; can’t get clearer language than that!). Bear in mind, none of this proves or disproves a religion, it’s simply addressing your point that people disagree which atheists use as an excuse to not do the work of doing their own research into what God might have said because the only conclusion they seem to be able to draw from people disagreeing is “God is a horrible communicator, it’s hopeless, I’m not gonna bother!”. Actually, people who sincerely take the time to understand tend to agree.

50:45 Incorrect, Jesus said this ONLY to test her faith/knowledge of the OT. How do we know this because her daughter during this conversation was healed. Helps to read the passage in context and not pick and choose what suits your narrative. Kaleb of the Torah in Hebrew means dog. He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” 25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. 26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” 27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” 28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

So funny that The Muslim guys criticisms can all be put on the Quran. The Quran was made collecting up the words of the prophet, there were numerous Quran (until Uthman burned loads, censoring ) with extra verses and then different pronunciation and even no diacritical Mark's on the oldest text which means people could read multiple words into one word. The guy mediating sounds like he's from the Muslim standpoint!

As did Jesus, Jesus said nobody is good, including himself, only the Father is good. Jesus said the Father is the 'Only True God'. Jesus 'Never' says to worship him. Jesus got on the floor, put his head on the ground and prayed to the Father, just like Muslims pray. Jesus never ate pork and was circumcised, just like Muslims. Jesus never said to sit in Sunday Church. It's not that Islam denies Jesus's divinity, Jesus himself denies it.

You could pose the same question to Christianity. Jesus Christ lived as a Jew, and followed the laws of Torah. He famously said, do not think that I came to change the Law, rather I came to fulfil it. I was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel! Jesus Christ never actually taught a new religion. He practiced Judaism until he ascended to heaven. Christianity is a religion founded by Paul; it's a religion about Jesus Christ.

I'm a practicing Catholic residing in SW London - my three sons attended an all boys secondary school where half the intake were Muslim. I find the subject of what does it mean to be 'One' - what is 'oneness' - very helpful. Being 'One' is underpinned by a sense of Unity, of multiplicity. This approach has been much more productive when I have had dialogue with Muslims - deep theological discussions, in my experience, are futile.

The sole purpose of Jesus to fulfill was to die for all mankind’s sins. In the law, the Jews had to kill certain animals to make an atonement with God for their sin. Because the penalty for sin was paid through the crucifixion of Jesus in a new covenant God made with all nations, we follow Jesus’ commandments, not the law. How is it that this guy is on this show to debate a Muslim but doesn’t know the purpose of Jesus death? Jesus dealt with the Jews first because the Jews were God chosen people who were groomed to follow the law. Even though the prophet Isaiah prophesied Jesus’ birth, the Jews didn’t understand that prophecy. They were still waiting for Elijah to return from when he was raised to heaven through the whirlwind in a chariot of fire. Jesus didn’t come to save the lost sheep referring to the Jews. He came to save the world. Christianity is not a Jewish religion. Anyone who accepts Jesus as their personal savior through his crucifixion is joined with Jesus as Abraham’s seed. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then are you Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
