I like adding Beni Shioga (pickled ginger) into the batter and that powdered seaweed on top too. Thanks for the vegan batter recipe. I have some extra cabbage so I'll be making this soon.

I can't thank you enough for the idea! I tried making it several times before but never used the vegan egg, I added that now and, my god..my family loves it too so I had to make a big batch 😄 ahh I love this channel!! ❤

mdmm I made like a pancake mix, I mixed some tapioca starch, turmeric, chia egg, 1/5 tsp of black salt and flour (any will do) and just mixed in water until I got the consistency I wanted. The rest of the recipe is the same as this one. The amounts varied if I made it for myself or for my fam, you'll see how much you need 😊

Health food shop - but if you're in Aus, the Organ 'vegan egg' works brilliantly in this recipe too and that's more of a given in health food shops these days :))

chickpea (besan) flour with some black salt you could definitely try :)) but it's very much it's own unique thing.

there's a product called Orgran No Egg, Egg Replacer that I use a lot. I'm going to experiment with using it in this dish. Doesn't have an eggy flavour though. But with the black salt it would :)

Kewpie is not vegan....it contains egg yolks. Is there a vegan kewpie !!??

There is a vegan kewpie I've seen at vegan supermarkets. But I just use Veganaise (or any vegan mayo), and it's just as delicious x

@@HoneybunchofOnionTops .....ah ok cool, I wondered if that was the case. Here in NZ we only have the regular non vegan Kewpie, and another vegan Mayo that's pretty naff and tastes awful lol !!! I'll figure out a tweak though. The recipie looks amazing too, can't wait to try it !!! 😋👍
