Had the rear differential fail on a 09 grand Cherokee. To buy a new one was 2000 dollars mechanic cost install 3000 but he couldn’t get one. I found one from a wrecked Jeep 1000 bucks and installed myself ( lot of work) wouldn’t do it again but it’s working good. I remember the old days when you could pick up a rear axle and install it in a couple hours for 50 bucks. Those days are long gone!

Seems like nothing related to a vehicle is $50 anymore. Plus most of the pull-your-own-parts junkyards seem to have disappeared. Good on you for the DIY.

Every image of those floods I have seen has had a body of water very close. Don't buy a house in a flood plane and your house probably won't get flooded

In defense of some folks the combination of a steep ramp, algae slime & a heavy load and before you know it... Recently saw a sheriff's brand new pickup had slid down the ramp into the salty drink launching their patrol boat. I'm sure the county auditor was pleased about that one.😏 Rubber tires on slimy concrete makes for low friction. Sometimes a well placed wheel chock or two can save the day.

how come never see sunk car at the boat ramp here in my town?? its only a 2 lane an in and an out lane also there's the beach in sheltered waters never happens only time cars/vehicle get washed by the sea they're bogged to the axles and belly pans on remote part of the beach also had to pull bogged 4bys(4X4) out don't like driving on the beach darn city slickers cant drive for s!@#

I love it how most of the time when a car or truck goes in the drink at the ramp the windsheild wipers start working! Guess the conductivity of the water must bypass the control switches.

@@daveyjones777 seen it even on older vehicles that don't have that. Think its probably combination, sensor and short. Although water is not conductive, the minerals in the water are and would for sure make things turn on.

2:45 That boat was in long beach where i am. He was going super fast no navigation no radar and slams into the breakwall at 11:30 at night. Unfortunately the dog died. It was a charter complete fucking idiots.
