This kid sings for Disney and Wow and says that bob dylan can't sing!!
Not only is he oblivious to the contributions Bob Dylan has made to the music industry, poetry, and fashion. He is painfully unaware that his "songs" are only listened to by 13 year old girls and his immediate family. This kid needs a check up from the neck up before he tries to diss a legend. Bob Dylan = Iconic Legend. Jonas Brothers=manufactured dog crap.

+Adey Passaro +Adey Passaro The truth hurts doesn't it. Nick Jonas' net worth is $18m, Bob Dylan's is $180m. Jonas no1's = 0, Dylan = 12. It's not my fault that you let Nick Jonas' looks blind you to the fact that the guy has far less talent, and success than Bob Dylan. Nick Jonas couldn't even hold a candle to Justin Bieber. Bob Dylan was never told he needed back up singers because he sucked so much like Jonas was with his stupid band with his brothers. You couldn't come up with 3 good reasons why Nick Jonas is more talented or successful than Bob Dylan. The comparison is ludicrous. Why does Nick Jonas constantly look like he's high, just woke up or is trying to look at something really far away? I suppose he is talented at taking his shirt off, must be really hard to do that. If you Google Nick Jonas now the first story is how he messed up a live guitar solo. Lol fail. He can't even play his instruments. Get the hell out of here.

+Adey Passaro +Adey Passaro thanks for the view. I really have no ambition to be a singer, I just like playing songs I like, give me all the dislikes you want it still counts as channel activity. I'm fully aware that I can't sing. I even say that in one of my vid descriptions, it won't stop me making vids though. I looked at your singing videos as well, they're amazing. Oh wait you haven't made any singing videos. If awards for 'vocals' aka singing mean nothing, then tell me how do you measure an artist's ability to sing?

@@TheHG12 as a matter of fact, he said in an interview that he thinks he's as good a singer as Caruso is. And singing in a traditional way is not an objective way of telling how good a singer is. Singing is all about using your voice as an instrument to evoke emotions, and Bob is a master of this art. In fact, Bob Dylan is a legend because he showed the world that you don't need to be classically trained to sing. Also you think everything he does or says in a music video, he means that literally? Lol no. Infact, no one does.

Y'know, I get how the 21st century is all about "perfection" in music; autotune, clarity... but there's something to be said about soul. Bob Dylan's sound, his lyrics, his legend touches my soul. That music is forever a part of me. His songs have memories attached to them. He will be remembered for years to come as one of the greatest lyricists of our time.... So, that being said, it isn't about how well you perform or how brainlessly beautiful your voice sounds-- it's the emotion you put into your art that really moves people. I have yet to be moved by a Nick Jonas song.

bbob70 the magazine wasn't named after the stones... It was named after "Like a Rolling Stone". Arguably Bob Dylan's greatest song and Rolling Stones #1 song of all time. I think you have a narrow view of what it means to be a "good singer". Bob Dylan defined a generation with his voice. Honestly who the fuck is nick jonas...
@TheYates100
@TheYates100 7 жыл бұрын
iLoveOrangeChicken But that's it, a singer in essence is someone who can maintain a musical tune, Dylan couldn't. He made his voice work for him and wrote great music but that doesn't warrant him being anywhere close to being one of the best singers like the magazine you mentioned likes to think he is. IMO Dylan had only 1 of the 3 major components of a great singer and that was evoking emotion ( now he hasn't evoked anything in me because I can't listen to terrible singing but I understand he has for millions ). The other 2 being Holding and maintaining musical notes in succession and having a good vocal range. Now when you combine all 3 of these components, Dylan doesn't get in my top 100.
@iloveorangechicken1538
@iloveorangechicken1538 7 жыл бұрын
***** But Bob has shown that he has a wide vocal range and can maintain musical notes. He does this exceptionally well in albums like Nashville Skyline and his earlier albums. I simply disagree with your pretty narrow definition of a good singer. I don't think a good singer is one that can sing with little variation in tune for a pretty long time, a good singer simply sings good songs and sings them in a way that compliments the song. Visions of Johanna for example, has to be sung with a degree of rough passion that Dylan delivers well. From the cry of his harmonica to the distortion in his vocal howl. Lay, Lady, Lay has a more conventional country croon sound as the song is very warm and light in comparison. Most of all a voice should be your signature. Bob's voice was heard among the likes of Joan Baez, Peter Paul and Mary, and other singers that fall into your strict category of a "good singer". Bob's voice was unique and flexible. His songs could evoke happiness, sadness, or fierce anger all in the same album. I ask again, who the fuck is Nick Jonas? Nickelodeon superstar turned irrelevant pop-star. If Bob can use his voice to direct a generation and win a Nobel Prize, and Jonas can use his to moisten the panties of teenage girls, I think we can find out who's the better artist.

To all the Dylan supporters on here trying to explain the greatness of his singing voice: Don't waste your time. As a huge Dylan fan I've learned that people either get Dylan's vocals or they don't. I've had people tell me, "Well you have to admit that his voice sucks", and I just end the conversation. Dylan is my favorite vocalist and if I have to explain the reasons why, you'll never truly understand. Yes, Nick Jonas' comments infuriated me when I first heard them, but it's clear that he really doesn't know what he's talking about, and the same can be said about most people commenting on here, who are also attacking Dylan's voice. At some point I decided that I won't get into an argument or even a discussion with a person who bashes Dylan's voice, or think he's only famous for "Like A Rolling Stone". People can hate and troll all they want, but we know better. So with that, "I'll bid farewell, and not give a damn.".

He's made music accessible to the outcasts who thought it was only for an elite group. He deserves every success he's ever had because he's earn it through hard work. Whereas, I forgot this poser even existed until this video came up on my playlist. He made it big because of his looks and because he was marketable. Give me Bob Dylan any day over this dick.

Bob Dylan inspired The Beatles amongs others. Who the fuck did Nick Jonas inspire to do anything?

Yeah, um...Bob Dylan is a great songwriter. Maybe the best songwriter in his genre. But there's a reason that Dylan covers inevitably sound better than the Dylan original. Judy Collins on "Hey Mr. Tambourine Man?" Amazing. The Byrds on "Hey Mr. Tambourine Man?" Spectacular. Bob Dylan on "Hey Mr. Tambourine Man?" Well, I understood the words, at least. And that's one of his better-sung tracks. Hell, I think even the William Shatner version sounded better.

Nick jonas isn't lying though, Bob Dylan really has one of the worst "Voices" out there.

You don't talk about legends unless it's to say how great they are. Don't do this again, Nick. Ever...

Okay dude... or dudette. I'm 13 and I've been listening to Jonas Brothers since I was 11. I'm always going to listen to them. My mom is in her 40s and loves them. Many people older than 13 listen to them all the time! So um let's keep our opinions to ourselves shall we? And I know many GUYS that listen to them too. Nick has his own opinions. Don't we all? Bob Dylan used to be able to sing, but now that he's gotten older, his voice is scratchy. Let's all agree that we all have different tastes. k

What a joke. 100 years from now, everyone will still know who Bob Dylan is. Nick Jonas and his Mickey Mouse nonsense will be long forgotten. Nick Jonas is listened to by junior high girls that don't know any better. That is all. That is all he is or ever will be. Bob Dylan is timeless and only Bob Dylan sounds like Bob Dylan.

"Amazing how when Dylan was his age, the only ones listening were 13 year old girls, too...and hippies." ...sorry what? You actually couldn't be more wrong. And if you're categorising and branding the folk scene as hippies you really shouldn't be allowed a comment.

it think the big problem is that he doesn't back up by saying dylan is the most talented song writer and is a national treasure....after he says he can't sing... it's like he's just labels him as a "singer" and bad one nothing else about dylan after that

Dylan sounds unique, yeah, but he isn't a bad singer. He's a great vocalist. Notice his inflection; it's all very purposeful toward shaping his songs, albeit much more experimental when live. It can't be denied, though, that he's lost a lot of vocal ability with his old age... can't much blame him for that...

in my opinion, bob dylan understood more at the age of nick in this video than most people figure out in a lifetime. want proof, just read his lyrics. jonas brothers lyrics don't say anything i don't already understand. but i have learned a lot about my own emotions mean from dylan
