I have watched a lot of dam breakers, culvert openers, and all. I only watch your channel, because you are soft spoken, do what needs to be done, and seem to be happy with it. Thanks for your hard work.

That was awesome moving those big rocks! Like everything in life, we learn as we go! We gain experience and when we know better we do better. Cut people some slack. They don’t have to be out here doing any of this! Watch and enjoy! Great job!!!❤

I regularly move boulders of that size at my cabin. I wonder if an 8’ length of rope or tow strap would help you? I like your clearing style, but you’re WAY more thorough than I would be. I’d throw all the branches to the side and move on and let Mother Nature do the rest. Nice work, your community would thank you if they only knew.

Ok we will go with a few safety tips. A pair of gloves for fair weather and winter and both pairs being water proof, as soon as he can a pair of over the hip waders. Always wondered why some of these young folks don’t also include a small saw that would help with removal of that log. A case of nosey old person! Just wanted to add with limited n tools nice job!

Yes...sometimes slowing down the water is a good thing! "Check dams are temporary structures designed across drainage systems, ditches and swales to control stormwater runoff, prevent erosion, traps sediment, and prevent it from passing through the dam. Check dams are mostly constructed using rocks, sediment retention fiber rolls, stones, sand and gravel bags."

I sometimes watch hydroscaping videos, mostly because I enjoy the sound of running water. I don't believe water needs any help so I don't interfere. It will find sea level without any help at all. Then it will evaporate, rise, fall on top of a mountain and do it all over again for all time.

I always enjoy watching your work, but I don't understand why you would un-dam a stream that is not a flooding hazard. Water that sits for a while has time to soak into the ground. I know that's one of the benefits of beaver dams.

Exactly. Many landowners are placing small dams across streams that go through the Iands to hold the water. Check Dams.
