Nice unboxing vid! What does a rocker arm do?
@FastballRacing2 жыл бұрын
Simply put it is a lever mechanism. The rocker arm assembly transfers the movements from the camshaft to the valves inside the engine

Any problems with these, I'm not seeing good things

How did the heads turn out
@FastballRacing Жыл бұрын
I actually ended up selling these heads because I bought a built long block for 1/3 of the price it would cost me to build it.

Have you got to run these yet?

I actually sold them. Check out my latest video. I changed directions on the build.

You might pull a couple valves on one cylinder and just check the valve job. Some of these cheaper Chinese knock offs lack in that department. Eric wiengarter Racing channel shows alot of these Chinese heads on his channel and shows what you can do to pick up some serious gains. The valve job is the most important aspect of the head. He’s done some of the flotech ls heads and they flowed worst out of the box than a factory head.

Yep, I planned on doing that & even taking it to some people I know of that know their way around aluminum SBF heads to get an idea of how they are. They look nice from the outside view! But we’ll see how they look going through them.

@@FastballRacing you should check out Eric Weingarter KZbin, he did some on the speed master sbf heads a couple weeks ago. Shows flow numbers before and after the head work.

Might as well thrown your money in the trash! As a HP machinist who has worked on these junk heads don't waste your cash. Everything about these heads is poor. Seats are marginal thickness, guides poor quality material. Even if you buy them bare and put your own stuff in them they're not worth it. Had someone bring in a set after short usage and guides badly worn, a common problem, especially if rocker geometry is not perfect. Think about it costing as much to repair a set as to buy another set. Pay now or pay later and still have a piece of junk.
