I just found you today. I've seen giant Brain Coral while scuba diving. I enjoyed your entire collection, after Brain Coral it's the Pearl Nautilus. I still collect rocks and shells at age 67. I love you in Christ. Hugs from northern California.

Merry Christmas, love your channel! Is there a way to tell a man-made seashell from one found at the shore? I got some Sanibel Island shells for Christmas, but some of them look fake as I have never seen shells in the color they are. Is there a way to tell? Thanks, and you have some beautiful shells!

Actually fake shells are quite uncommon. I have not seen any of those in my long shelling life, and if exists most of those are trying to fake a very rare shell, not for just some beautiful shells. I am reasonably sure that your shells are natural or just polished unless they are obviously plastic or glass.

Fake shells are always super obvious, even with good ones they’re still hard to come by!

In Florida, you can buy realistic fake shells at souvenir shops for $1 each, so how can I know the difference in real beach shells and the man-made mass produced?
