Wowwwwwww! Those slip-joint pliers at 04:45 ish look fantastic. Never heard of Diamond before but clearly well made stuff. I also love the yellow/green translucent Fuller drivers. Like you said - so nice compared to current stuff. I have a bunch of 1980’s ‘West’ German tools and included are some green handled Heyco’s that I love.

Those stubby flat heads with broad tips are still nice to have in aerospace for opening ‘Dzus’ fasteners. My mechanic colleagues grind rounds onto the edges. PB Swiss sells similar for Dzus and the ‘coin’ type battery covers on bike equipment.

Bar codes started in 1973 and really took off in 75. You got a great haul there. I like the FULLER TOOLS even the Japan ones are good. Thanks for sharing

The P56 plastic cutters are flush cuts for trimming the nubs off injection molded products and zip ties. They typically have a lower HRC The TW Xcelite drivers look like what was used on telco binding posts back before 66 & 110 blocks started to be used. The green handle ec54 are flush cuts for through hole components. Used to cut the excess leads off after being hand soldered. The dn54 has smooth jaws to prevent component damage when aligning components. The sc54 are also used for through hole components. Used to pull leads through PCB and cut excess leads off prior to soldering.

Forgot to say nice find. I love the Diamond pliers in boxes, back before everything had to be on a display card. Back when there was counter hardware stores. By the way Cooper bought Diamond in 1993 and continued the brand for a while.

The jaws on the plastic pliers have more of a knife edge and are not hardened to cut wire or steel. It will ruin them. Diamond put the blue handles on to differentiate them from regular cutters

Crescent and Diamond were separate companies until the Cooper group came along and bought and consolidated a lot of tool companies everybody loosing what made them special and then closing down and off shoring everything after buy outs sell offs of everything now being mostly imported by APEX tool group.
