Her work is amazing! Thank you for this review, it really shows how nice you are and that you really love art in all its forms. I work with 3D and I know about that comments saying that 3D artists are not "real" artists. Each time someone says so, I answer with a comparison: If you eat with a fork, you are still eating. If you eat with your nude hands, you are still eating. If you sculpt with your hands, you are sculpting. If you sculpt with tools, you are still sculpting. The tablet is just another tool for the artist. If you know nothing about sculpture, you won't be able to sculpt a well made piece, either in 3D or traditional sculpting. Each tool has its pros and cons, each one needs a learning process. 3D definitely helps with simetry, for example, but you have to be careful with the mesh, and you don't really know it your prototype will work under Gravity effects until you print it. Wow, such a long comment, sorry! But yes, thank you a lot for this detailed reviews about other people's work. I agree with this artist: you are really helping to build a healthier and positive community ^^ that's why I love your videos so much!

I know I’m late to this vid. I did watch it when it first came out. Today I met Cindy Koch and her daughter and bought one of her dolls at a local Texas doll show. Wow, what a wonderful Lady Cindy is and her lovely daughter. We chatted for quite a while. It was a highlight for me. My first doll show at 62 yo. Thanks to Hubby for finding the show and taking me. One of the highlights of my all time highlights.

When I look at my 3D printed hen and chicks fairy doll from Quirky Critters I marvel at the detail of her leaf rosettes. I think that 3D printing will open up worlds of more fabulous dolls.

This is a beautiful doll, and it was very generous of Cindy Koch to gift her to you. The doll in this video appears to be original, but most of the dolls on the Instagram linked in the description were not actually sculpted by Cindy Koch. The way she presents them suggests they could be hers, but the body she uses for most of the dolls on her Instagram comes from a Russian Etsy shop called ArtBjdDoll, and at least one of the faces does as well. (I recognized it because I've owned three of this body from ArtBjdDoll.) ArtBjdDoll was established in 2019, sold the first copy of this body design in January 2020, and in February 2020 an Etsy profile named "Cynthia Koch" - who also has several items from the CKDDesign shop favorited - purchased the digital file option. (The Cynthia Koch Etsy profile and the CKDDesign Etsy shop are both located in the same town in Texas, further suggesting they are the same person.) The Cindy Kopplin Instagram then began posting dolls in April 2020 that used the body from ArtBjdDoll. I'm not saying that Cindy Koch/Kopplin did anything wrong; the ArtBjdDoll file listing does not indicate that its purchasers can't print copies whenever they like. But it did make me sad that Cindy Koch/Kopplin, as an established artist, didn't credit the new artist without whom most of their current Instagram posts couldn't exist, so I'm hoping to help rectify that a little with this comment. It's such an amazing thing to be gifted. This makes me want to get my oldest brothers who has a 3d printer to print me some doll accessories. She's beautiful and I think it's cool when people can sculpt on the computer or with their hands.

I would love to have a 3D printer and try my hand at it. I found out since making this video that ZBrush is open source Linux, so I might download it and play around with it. Seems like it would be fun!

Sadly, I could not afford the doll and I don't remember her name, but I have remembered Cindy Koch's name all these years. I certainly believe that this is "real art".
