Don’t know why some people think CRK knives are drop shut-they have incredible tolerances and run on washers not bearings.

Just received the exact same sebenza in the mail today! 🙌🏼. I have a blade hq large sebenza drop point and a small sebenza black micarta drop point. On the hunt for an Umnumzaan

I did what you are thinking of. I had one of each blade type and just recently sold two of them. The one I kept is the Umnumzan with a Tanto Blade in Magnacut. For me it is the best of the 3 blades they have and the best of the 3 models.

I still have one Large 31, but I only seem to reach for the same Zaan you have when it’s time to select my EDC. The tanto is an exceptionally useful blade. For me the Umnumzaan is the perfect CRK.

I’m considering a Zaan and was going to get a drop point. I’ve so far only got small Sebenzas (a drop point and an Insingo). Would love to know why your preference is for the tanto. I want to use mine, so feedback on the tanto would be really useful.

The way that little bit sticks up when closed, I always feel like these would be a cool with a front flipper. Of course, I'd also love to see these optimized for thumb-flicking and dare I say it, running on bearings?!? =o A man can dream...

Yeah I feel like they could lessen that point or emphasize it for front flipping, though I'd prefer the latter

I can flip my large Sebenza at the same speed as my pm2. Polish the washers add a few drops of nano oil on the florinated grease that comes with your knife and it’ll fly! Thank me later 🫡

I've had two and still have one Sebenza. While I like them I find that they need a tad more leverage on the thumb stud. I find it awkward to open. It's not the size or shape of the stud but it's position. Too close to the scales.

I have 5 large Sebenzas which are all safe queens. I will never get rid of them. I like your purchase and would consider asking CRK if they could remove one of the thumb studs when you send it in for spa service.

Here’s me wanting to send my single lug small Sebenza back from Australia at a ridiculous return shipping cost to get it double lugged! I’ve also got a small Insingo too but I had that sent straight from the retailer back to CRK and had it changed from single to double and prefer it. I guess it’s just personal preference and I can see how if you tend to grip it regularly as shown in the video you might prefer the single. When I get a large it will definitely be a double.

Blue always pops with titanium. Never liked brass or gold hardware. Tacky to me. But alas , i myself cannot afford $500+ for a pocket knife. If i could , i would own several. With inflation , i can barely afford rent and food.😐

Being I don't care for titanium, yes they are very hyped. Waste of money. Titanium is one of most common elements on the planet.

It’s not about being common it’s about its strength to weight ratio. And it’s harder to manufacture than aluminum or steel. It’s why titanium replaced steel for medical implants.
