Very cool! I have the Operator variant of this locomotive (which no longer produced) and I can tell you, they are exceptionally powerful locomotives, with a pair of them easily able to handle a 50+ car train. One thing of note, the Rivet Counter SD40-2s (as does all locomotives in that line) do come equipped with metal couplers, as opposed to the Operator line which uses plastic couplers. The rusty wheels are a new feature Scaletrains has added beginning with the most recent run of C39-8s, and will be applied to all Rivet Counter and Museum Quality locomotives moving forward!

I bought my first ScaleTrains engine and it was the BN SD40-2B #7502. Most of my Burlington Northern engines are from Athearn (all 3 different sections). I also have BN 6333 but mine was produced by Kato.
