I'm really impressed with these Dark Alliance figures. I'd never considered 1/72nd scale before but after watching your videos I think I'll give them a go.

Hi deep red, I totally recommend them, they are cheaper and there is a lot of variety. Also, remember if you get orcs, they have a lot of flash, lol. Good for regiments🙂👍

You're enthusiasm for 1/72 Fantasy is infectious! I'm not sure I want to jump in, but I did get some free dudes from AliExpress a while back that I think are in that scale. Next time I happen upon them in my stash I'll dig them out and see you I like painting them.

Hey there my friend. 1/72 scale is a mice intermediate between 28mm and 15mm. I also like the wide variety of historical ranges ( which I will use in fantasy) also a lot cheaper than 28mm. But alas, definitely let me know what you think if you paint yours🙂👍

I like the alliance fantasy kits. I recommend the Anubis and mummies also! Thanks for the video.

I loved 1/72 scale historical as a kid. You could occasionally find them at Wal-Mart back in the day.

Interesting, I have found 1/72 revolutionary war british in a department store, seemed like an unlikely place. Wish my Walmart had them🙂

@@mjhobbycorner5503 it was decades ago. I'm old. I got 82nd WW2 airborne, WW2 Germans, Civil War Confederates, WW2 Marines and more...had some crazy fun with them. I used dominoes as makeshift barges and landing craft.

Those minotaurs would make really interesting Slaaneshi Bestigors.
@mjhobbycorner55034 ай бұрын
@@onionhat745 that is a good idea, they are 1/72 scale, so about 20-24mm scale. Smaller than your standard 28mm but not by much

very cool kits! I'm more of a 28mm player, but I can see those minitours being big enough to use in Reign in Hell!
@mjhobbycorner55032 жыл бұрын
Hello, I play mostly 28mm, the advantage of price and space I play some smaller scales. Definitely good in reign in hell🙂

I'd think the minotaurs would be perfect for OPR Regiments and even Kings of War. Just need appropriate bases and boom, ready to roll.
@mjhobbycorner55033 жыл бұрын
Absolutely Desmond, I have bases for them. Funny we were thinking KOW but they will be used in a lot of games
@Musuzima3 жыл бұрын
@@mjhobbycorner5503 Of course they could (and should) be used for a variety of other games. So much money and effort for use of just one system? Never...! Considering the size and the look of these Minotaurs though, I'm thinking would be perfect for the Longhorns in the KoW's The Herd faction... Kinda like Lesser Minotaurs since they ought to be based on the 25mm Heavy Infantry class.

I agree with you, but, You touch a very important point. Even if my love was one game, and I said the hell with everything else, using the smaller scales would still be more cost efficient when compared to larger scales. People who specialize on one game, especially in the mainstream category, could argue, quite truthfully that they save some money by playing just one system. Considering the price of rulebooks and expansions. Unfortunately, I am not that gamer, I collect rules and different scales, that is what I was referring to in my reply "I will be using them in different games." Interesting, 1/72 is still the least represented in our community, despite the growing popularity of smaller scales & miniature agnostic rules. By the way, using the minotaurs as you explained in KOW is an excellent idea👍🙂

Could those minotaurs work as Gors (beasten) for warhammer fantas? They might be slightly smaller but not to much, right? I could simply adjust the height with base materials.
@mjhobbycorner55034 ай бұрын
@@pabloalonsolasagabaster658 I definately think you may do that. They are smaller, but as you said, adjusting the height may work. If anything, you would still have some cool minotaurs. I personally mix my scales all the time.

How tall are those Minotaurs? I'm wondering how they'd look with my Battle Masters Beast Men.
@mjhobbycorner5503 Жыл бұрын
Minotaurs are about 40mm tall from base to top of horns. Or 1.6 inches tall. I often mix these with my own battle masters since BM are on the bigger side of 15mm.
