Finding your channel this past week has been a real highlight. When you're pissed off with a product, your language unfolds into the most inventive insults I've ever heard. 😆 Great voice to listen to, 10/10 sense of humour, and today was a great example of hearing the absolute titillated enjoyment from something as simple as a singular key that like you said is basically a fidget toy at this point. 😆 Much love from a new subscriber from Australia!

Macropads like these came about because most people use ANSI layout with a horizontal enter key but they were buying all these fancy keycap sets from GMK etc. that also support European ISO layout with the vertical enter key. This was a way to do something, possibly even useful, with those spare ISO enter keys they had lying about.

I had this idea of a keyboard without an enter key for a while. The enter key would be a massive button you need to hit with your first. Replace it all over the office and let hilarity ensue.

If you create a single key ISO enter keyboard you basically have a one job. I understand that some multi layout keyboards put the ISO enter switch sideways due to available PCB tracing space, but what is the excuse here?! The issue is that some switch stems (like the ones in Zeal Clickiez where the click plate pushes the stem up from other side) tend to stick out in a slight angle instead of being flat due to the switch construction. When you put all switches in same orientation this switch "flaw" is not really visible... unless you have one switch like ISO enter sideways which tilts the keycap to right compared to the rest of the keys. The taller keycaps you use, the more visible this issue becomes.

you need to make some sort of prank-ish video, where you provide some poor soul with a keyboard with an enter key that sticks or is otherwise non-functional, and then "fix" the problem by hooking this keyboard up as an additional keyboard, except that it's placed in a really inconvenient location.
