LOL - I understand at first glance how the three pieces shall be arranged, and I was deeply relieved at that moment you finally found the solution.

So, you have the nice option to fire up your keyboard in the fireplace. And to listen the clicking of the lovely hotswap switches in the amber of subdued flame.

excited for you to swear at ortho boards. as a diehard ortho user it's always fun to see people's reaction to my blank slabs of keys before I pull out the blue alps chicony for them to use. my 6 (row) x 9 (columns) x 2 (halves) BFO-9000 is my favorite, I like ortho and split but being stuck with 5x12 or smaller for my giant 6 foot desk sucked, routed a nice wooden case for it recently.

I really like Alice keyboards. It took a bit to get used to it, but once I did going back to a normal layout just doesn't feel right anymore. And I typed on those for over 20 years.
@karellen002 күн бұрын
I'm curious to know if it behaves as 3 separate keyboards, as it will be a mess. I already know that on windows with a separate numpad you can't use alt codes (like as an example you type alt + 0216 to write a Ø symbol). Not being able to make upper case letters using the shift on the other half would be even more annoying!

I would _love_ to have a set of wooden keycaps... but I have yet to find anyone making them (affordably) in ISO. Apparently the L-shaped enter key is just too hard!
@fernandochu89873 күн бұрын
I recommend one of the thumb 'spacebars' to be reprogrammed to 'shift'. This has helped me a lot instead of using the pinkies.

I'm also in the 30% "right hand B" population. Most ergo layouts drive me crazy. Alice is nice, because it includes a "B" on both sides.

That’s ergonomic because it’s good for your eyes 😍 All the ergo users yelling at themselves out here for you to turn it around 💀 It will be fun to see you do a string of these I do think it’s worth noting that use of boards with specific actuation pressure makes boards with special switches ergonomic too Just with different needs than folks who want weird hand or wrist positions So we’re glad you’ve been a supporter all long

Btw i wanna let you know i now own a very cheap Chinese mech keyboard like you recommended but cheap Chinese keyboards now can come with hall effect switches (The one i got was 50 dollars with shipping the ace60pro) But some are even cheaper still Just letting you know next time you tell someone to get a cheap Chinese keyboard for their first mech let em know that hall effect is also the best way to go because its no longer unreasonable to get one cheap

0:25 It's luh-CHaig. If you like the Ledaig, then I'd also recommend the following- *Caol Ila 12* - Wait for a price in the low to mid £40's (as it was a few years ago). It's a fine whisky but you can get better ones for the price they're asking these days. I also have to knock a few points off as it's not an "integrity bottling"... it's under 46%, it has been chill filtered, and it contains E150 Caramel colouring. For the price they're asking now, I just don't think adulterating the whisky with E150 is acceptable. On a similar note, the *Highland Park 12* is also decent for a price of under £35. It is chill filtered and only 40% ABV but it does not contain E150. The following whiskies are integrity bottling though. *Compass Box Big Peat* - Mid £30's is a good price. It's 46%, non-chill filtered, and it has no E numbers but it is a blend. Which there's nothing wrong with but some people are single malt only snobs. It's worthing looking out for the Christmas Editions too. They are pricer but they're cask strength. *Compass Box Peat Monster* - Copy and paste the above description but change the price range to the mid £40's, and nix the bit about the Christmas Edition. *Bruichladdich Port Charlotte* - Mid to high £40's, to very low £50's is a decent price. I'd also recommend Bruichladdich's "The Classic Laddie" as it's a decent whisky, albeit an unpeated one.
@Chyrosran223 күн бұрын
I've had most of them before, Caol Ila three or so bottles by now. I'm especially partial to Ardbeg and Lagavulin, myself :D . Not cheap though, unfortunately xD .
@WebeloZappBrannigan2 күн бұрын
@Chyrosran22 I remember back when Lagavulin 16 was occasionally available in Waitrose for £42. Now a decent price on the 16 is as rare as rocking horse shit. But the silver lining is that there are so many interesting, well priced whiskies out there to try. Laphroaig would be my first choice over Ardbeg or Lagavulin though... If I **had** to choose a Islay distillery. They're like farm animals to me though. They're all equal in my affections... It's just that some are more equal than others. Especially when it comes to the Laphroaig Quarter Cask. Have you tried any Indian whiskies? Amrut offer some really nice, reasonably priced, peated whiskies, if you ever fancy venturing further afield. They are a bit more fruity / sherried than the other whiskies i mention though but thanks to the tropical climate, they taste older than they are. With Indian whiskies, I'd advise giving Paul John a miss though. I've had three of their releases so far, and all three were overpriced disappointments. On the subject of all things peated and delicious. If you ever have a chance to buy some bottles of beer from Brouwerif De Molen... you really should. They make some really, seriously great beers but their peated, and smoked beers are nectar.
@Chyrosran222 күн бұрын
@@WebeloZappBrannigan Yeah, I've tried a few Molen beers. I think I even had one during an unboxing at some point ^^ . They're easy to get here as Belgium are so close by. Not had any Indian whiskies! I'll keep my eye open for some, though to be honest I don't drink huge volumes, I get super bloated from it, unfortunately. Laphroaig is also very nice, I have almost all Islays on my shelf here tbh ^^ .
