What I love about the PS3 is even though the price was ridiculous Sony made sure the way it looked reflected that cost. The glossy black finish was classy af. It looked expensive because it was. It stood out in the crowd. Just a class act all around just a shame it was plagued by YLOD.

Dude I bought one of these from a friend a few day's ago for $60 with 2 controller's, and a binder of PS1/PS2/PS3 game's. Hell I felt kinda bad so I gave him $100, I can't believe I was able to find one for so cheap. Just recently got into playing and collecting PS2 again. But wanted a PS3 as well, because they have some top notch game's.

Best system ever and Ima Xbox fan boy! OG pS3 showed us what REVERSE COMPATIBILITY is really made of! And ironically theirs hasn’t been another system to match it. Ps1 - Ps2 - PS3 games all work! And no system ever since has don’t that. You know how many great games was on PS2!!! NBA Street 1 -2 Def jam vs series Marvel vs capcom series NFL street series Nba jam series Street fighters all of them Mortal Kombat all of them Kill switch GTA series 3,Vice city, San Andreas To much to name but I hate haven’t to have 5 PlayStations in my living room. And 3 Xbox consoles and 2 Nintendo consoles. I think reverse compatibility should always be a priority for older games like me.

The 60 20 gb PS3 breaks less then a year by playing PS2 games not worth owning if you want to play PS2 games go play them on your PS2

Not the checha01 or chechb01 launch models. Those both use PS2 chips to play ps2 games. This is more likely to happen with ChechcXX or checheXX models, which used software emulation to play ps2 games (and actually no longer support ps2 backwards compatibility).

@@edmaxwell257it’s the other way around. The A01 and B01 are the most likely to break immediately BECAUSE they have the physical PS2 chip. You want an E01 because of the hybrid emulation system. This allowed it to run much cooler and the E01 specifically had the 226 PSU which ran more efficiently creating less heat and lower watts. Now technically EVERY fat PlayStation suffers from the same RSX flaw regardless of the serial number. But so long as you keep up with the thermal paste, and keep it properly cooled and well ventilated, they all will live perfectly fine no problem.
